BAPTISM PREPARATION POST COVID-19.
One of the requirements for Baptism is to attend a Baptism Class. In light of
the COVID-19 restrictions this may have been difficult. If you are preparing
for the birth of your child and need to complete a baptism class we as a par-
ish are making use of our subscription to FORMED to assist you in fulfilling
that requirement.
Couples desiring to have their child baptized are asked to watch the first
three videos (Session 1: A New Creation: The Mystery of Baptism, Session 2:
Entering the Mystery, the Rite Explained, and Session 3: Nurturing the Life
of Grace: Called to Mission). Please download the Study Guide and for Ses-
sion 1 answer question 4, for Session 2 answer question 1 thru 3, and for Ses-
sion 3 answer question 1 and 2. Please send the study questions to Father
Carroll. This is NOT a test, but rather an exercise to help you grow in your
faith.
Godparents are also welcome to participate with you. They can join as you
watch the video or you can work with other couples. There is a video dedi-
cated to godparents entitled: The Gift of Godparents: More Than Cards &
Presents by Lucas Pollice.
RCIA 2020/2021
We are now preparing for next year’s R.C.I.A (Rite of Christian Initia-
tion of Adults) classes. If you yourself or if you know of anyone who
is discerning the Catholic faith or wants to learn more about the Cath-
olic faith please contact Father Carroll at [email protected]
or (717) 848-2007 ext. 104.
In light of the continued concerns regarding covid-19 we might need
to blend in person classes with online learning using our parish sub-
scription to FORMED: the Catholic Faith on Demand platform.
Please keep checking our monthly bulletin, our parish Facebook page
and website for more information.
Throughout the pandemic we want
to recognize those men in “That
Man is You” group who continued to
meet virtually during the past few
months showing us that we can still
meet and share the faith while social
distancing.
FAITH DEVELOPMENT AND GROUP MEET-
INGS FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE
As we prepare to head into the fall, we do not know for certain what to ex-
pect. Just as our schools are figuring out what the school year will look like, we
as a parish must do the same. Over the fall, winter, and spring months many or-
ganizations meet at the parish for faith development and social activities. It is
quite possible in the fall and winter, if there is another spike we might be forced
into another quarantine.
If another quarantine is needed and in person meetings would not be possi-
ble, we would like to encourage your groups to still meet if possible virtually
through zoom or other online platform. While it is certainly not ideal, it will be
a way one can stay connected with each other and grow in their faith.
Each group will also be responsible for cleaning their meeting space on
campus. Groups can also decide to meet off campus. We would encourage
group leaders to consider an online option a long with meeting in person. Not
everyone will be comfortable gathering in groups.
Please feel free to use programs on FORMED for group and personal faith
and spiritual development. It is important in the weeks and months ahead we
stay connected with each other and the Lord.
SAINT PATRICK RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
To our Religious Education Families,
As was mentioned last year ended rather abruptly and we were not able
to bring last year to a conclusion. Confirmation for our 8th grade students
and First Communion for our 2nd grade students were postponed. While we
have scheduled a group Confirmation and First Holy Communion , we are
also administering the sacraments individually throughout the summer
months at any daily or weekend Mass for those who request it.
Concerning the schedule for next year, we are currently looking at our
options. It is very possible that another quarantine might be necessary espe-
cially if there is a spike in cases. If that happens we will be prepared. As we
are looking at our options we are considering the health and safety of both
our dedicated catechists and our parish children. It is possible next year that
we may use an online platform for our current Religion Series and have in
person learning once a month. One of the options for in person learning is to
only have certain grades meet each week that way we can spread our class-
rooms out if necessary.
Right now we are watching what our schools our doing. Holy Trinity
Catholic School is offering both in person and online learning. Children can
still attend class at home. If we decide to go with an online platform there
will be video presentations, activities, and games that will help you prepare
for that once a month in person session. The online platform we are consid-
ering allows for parent involvement and outside of that once a month sched-
uled class, you can do the work at a time convenient for you..
Thank you for your patience and understating! As things become
clearer this month we will pass the information on to you soon as possible!

ONLINE LEARNING
Since March 2020 we have been unable to gather physically for class,
but our dedicated administration, faculty, and staff were quick to
switch from classroom learning to online learning within days! Alt-
hough we were unable to gather in the classroom, our students with
their teachers guidance and the help of their families did awesome
things! Although change was difficult our amazing little school did a
remarkable job coming together to make everything work!
HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC SCHOOL
