F/M Series: F type - The plastic parts are made of a noncombustible resin (equivalent to UL94 V-0) to prevent spread of fire to the joints even in an environment subject to welding sparks such as spatters.
M type - The width across flats of the hexagon is so small that the mounting pitch for parallel installation can be reduced.
N Series : A wide range of variations is available. 16-mm dia. tubes can be connected to the joints. The plastic parts are made of a noncombustible resin (equivalent to UL94 V-0).
Note) The joints for 16-mm dia. tubes are provided with bushes for R3/4.

Handling InstructionsJoints and Tubes Handling Instructions Joints and TubesJoints and Tubes
Joints and Tubes
CAUTION
●Do not use the joints in a place where the threaded connecting ports and the tube connecting parts may be turned. The threaded parts and the tube connecting parts may be separated by swinging or turning.
Attaching tube●Cut the tube at a right angle. (Check for scratches on the periphery.)●Slowly push the tube all the way in.●After pushing it, lightly pull it to make sure that it cannot be disconnected.
Detaching tube●Reduce the gauge pressure to 0.●Sufficiently push the release sleeve, and draw out the tube.
●If the release sleeve is pushed insufficiently, the sleeve may bite into the tube, and the tube cannot be drawn out smoothly.●When reusing the tube after drawing it out, cut off the bitten zone.
●In the periodic inspection, check for the followings, and replace defective joints. 1)Scratches, hit marks, wear and corrosion 2)Air leak
●Do not use the joints in a place where static electrification may cause problems. Doing so may cause system fault or trouble.●If quick joints are used in a place where spatters are generated, use F/M Series joints.●Do not use the joints in an environment where they are exposed directly to liquids such as cutting oil, lubricant and coolant.
●Before installing, check the type and size. Check for scratches on the product.●When connecting a tube, allow for changes in tube length due to pressure.●Do not to apply torsional, twisting, tensile or moment load to the joint and tube.Doing so may damage the joint or collapse, rupture or disconnect the tube.●Take care that the tube is not worn, entangled or scratched. The tube may be collapsed, ruptured or disconnected.●When screwing the tube, tighten it to the recommended tightening torque shown in the following table. If it has not been screwed sufficiently, sealing failure, looseness and air leak may be caused.
●If the tube is returned for positioning after it is screwed, air leak may be caused.

CAUTION
●If bending force or pulling force is applied to the tube connecting part while the tube is in use, carefully select the joint to be used. In such a case, the joint may be damaged, or the tube may come off the joint.●If a tube is used in a curved state, bend the tube at a bending radius larger than the minimum bending radius. If it is used at a radius smaller than the minimum bending radius, it may be broken or collapsed.●Do not use the tubes in an environment where they are exposed directly to liquids such as cutting oil, lubricant and coolant.●Do not use them for combustible, explosive or toxic fluid. Such a fluid may permeate the tubes and flow to the outside. If you intend to use the tubes for a fluid other than air, consult us.
●In the periodic inspection, check the followings, and replace the tube if necessary.1)The tube must be free from scratches, wear and cracks.
2)The tube must not be distorted or collapsed.3)The tube must not be hardened, softened or deteriorated.
4)The joint and connection must not leak.●Do not reuse removed tubes or joints after repairing.
●The tubes are made of pressure-resistant and weather-resistant materials. However, synthetic resin tubes may decrease in strength due to change with time and scratches. The max. working pressure varies depending on the operating conditions. It is determined by multiplying the breaking pressure at the working temperature by the safety factor. When the tube is used with air, it is used at a safety factor of about 1/3 because less surge pressure is generated. However, the tube may be repeatedly bent or scratched or used in an environment with gases or liquids harmful to the resin. Therefore, it is recommended to set the safety factor to 1/4 when selecting a tube depending on the working environment, period of use and maintenance condition.
●Before installing, check the type and size of each tube, and use a joint in an appropriate size. The tubes cannot be used with joints in different sizes, such as inch sizes.●Check the product for scratches, wear and cracks. Do not use scratched, worn or cracked ones.●When cutting a tube in the required size, use the special cutter, and cut the tube at a right angle with respect to the circumference. If a nipper or a knife is used, the cut edge may be oblique or collapsed, thereby causing air leak and disconnection from the joint.●Connect the tube with an allowance for length. Its length may be changed by pressure.●When a quick joint is used, slowly push the tube all the way in. Slightly pull the tube to make sure that it cannot be drawn out. If it is not fitted completely, air leak or disconnection from the joint may be caused.●Do not to apply torsional, twisting, tensile or moment load to the joint and tube. Doing so may damage the joint or collapse, rupture or disconnect the tube.

Explanation of Symbols
(Plastic body type)
(Metallic body type)UT
●Easy connectionTubes can be attached and detached without tools. The new type lock ring ensures smooth and more reliable piping work.●No need of sealing tapeThe threaded portions have been treated with a sealing material (Teflon resin coating). The costs for sealing tape are not required, and the man-hour is reduced, resulting in cost reduction.
●Improved corrosion resistance and noncombustibleSince plastic parts are made of noncombustible PBT resin (polybutylene terephthalate), they can prevent spread of fire to the joint even in an environment subject to welding sparks such as spatters.Brass parts are plated with nickel to improve corrosion resistance and appearance.●High air tightnessThe ring seal of a new shape is used to reduce the tube operating force and keep high air tightness.●Space-saving M typeThe width across flats of the hexagon is smaller than that of the standard F type, and the mounting pitch for parallel installation can be reduced. Therefore, the joint can be installed in a narrow space.

●Easy connectionNo tools are required to attach or detach tubes. It takes only one or two seconds to attach or detach a tube.●No need of sealing tapeSince the R (body) threaded portions have been treated with a sealing material (Teflon resin coating), it is unnecessary to apply sealing tape. The costs for sealing tape and the man-hour are significantly reduced, resulting in cost reduction.
●Rotating threaded portionsThe bodies and threaded portions of the elbows and tees can be individually rotated. They are very convenient for compact piping.
●Low pressure lossSince the minimum inner diameter of the joint is equal or more than the tube inner diameter, the pressure loss is low, and a high flow rate can be ensured.
●Easy removalThe joints can be removed easily only by pressing the release sleeve and drawing out the tube.
Plastic quick joints with which tubes can be surely connected only by lightly pushing the tubes. Applicable tube OD

●Applicable to a wide rangeReducing unions applicable to different tube diameters and manifold types consisting of compactly arranged and integrated quick joints are added to cope with various applications.●Easy connectionNo tools are required to attach or detach tubes. It takes only one or two seconds to attach or detach a tube.●Low pressure lossSince the minimum inner diameter of the joint is equal or more than the tube inner diameter, the pressure loss is low, and a high flow rate can be ensured.●Easy removalThe joints can be removed easily only by pressing the release sleeve and drawing out the tube.
Reducing unions and manifold type joints are added to plastic quick joints with which tubes can be surely connected only by lightly pushing.

●Compared to nylon tubes N2 having the same diameters, these urethane tubes are more flexible, have smaller minimum bending radii and excel in workability.●The use of ether polyurethane resin prevents corrosion and deterioration caused by moisture and mold.●The tubes generate less extracts, such as plasticizers, than nylon tubes. They are suitable for use requiring cleanliness.
