Job PurposeThe post holder will provide effective support to the Volunteer Development Officer in the delivery of volunteering throughout Clackmannanshire.
Principle Responsibilities• Interviewing and recruiting volunteers and ensuring they are appropriately
matched with volunteering opportunity. • Act as a point of contact for volunteers.• Offering advice and information to volunteers and external organisations through
face-to-face, telephone and email contact• Maintaining databases and undertaking any other administrative duties.• Maintain good communication and relationships with Volunteer Involving
Organisations and external partners• Support CTSI members to source and work with volunteers.• Promote volunteering opportunities throughout Clackmannanshire.• Promotion and administration of the Saltire Awards
Other duties:• Work with the Volunteer Development Officer to plan, co-ordinate and run the
Annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony and local Volunteer Fair• Represent CTSi at meetings, events and engagements as required• Overall, support the work of the Third Sector Interface as required
Person Specification Experience of working within the Third Sector and/or working with volunteers. Positive outlook and non-judgemental attitude Experience of providing individual guidance and support Experience of inter-agency liaison and effective partnership working Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative Ability to manage time and prioritise workload Excellent oral and written communication skills IT skills, including internet, word processing, database and spreadsheets Willingness to undertake additional training appropriate to the post Willingness to adhere to all relevant policies and procedures
Working RelationshipsThe Volunteer Development Assistant will:
