Miss Emily Weiss has been spending the la st two weeks of her vacation a t the Roxbuiy ho­tel, and vicinity. Miss Weiss and Mrs. Charles Bouton were guests Tuesday of Mrs. Bouton’s re la ­tives, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Misner, in Oneonta. Miss Weiss and Miss Irm a M. Griffin were guests F ri­day of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Finch a t Arkville.

Son a Bouncer '

A son, Andrew Raymond, weigh­ing 9 pounds 13 ounces, was bom to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kennedy on Wednesday, Oct. 7, a t the S tam ­ford hospital.

Mrs. M ilton Stevens of P ra tts- ville was a guest of her aunt, Mrs. Charles H. Reed, of Spruce street Tuesday. Mrs. M arion Hender­son, Mrs. Grace H arris and Rev. Richard Zimmerman, presiding m inister of the Jehovah W itnesses congregation a t Arkville, also visi­ted Mrs. Reed. ,

Dr. and Mrs. R ichard C. Ames, daughter, Kathy, son, Michael, of Ossining and niece. Miss Ellen Weyl, of Hollis, L. I., spent th e weekend w ith Dr. Ames’ m other, Mrs. Carlos Ames, over Columbus day.

Transferred to N ew MexicoJohn Townsend, who has worked

for Grumman A ircraft in New York, has been transferred to the W hite Sands missile range in New Mexico by the company and will be there about three years.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reynolds and children, Tracy, Renee and Jean, and Allen Roberts of Sidney visited Mr. and Mrs. Jam es Hink- ley. Mrs. Reynolds’ mother, Mrs. Florence Peck, accompanied her home for a visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hale and sons of Rensselaerville visited her father, Carroll G. Hinkley, for the weekend.

A fellowship supper was attend­ed by more than 60 a t the Gould Memorial Reformed church Sun­day evening a t 6. Circle 3, of which the chairm an is Mrs. F rank Bertino, served the supper. A bus­iness meeting was held; J. William Poole presiding. A movie was shown.

Layman’s Sunday was observed Simday morning a t the M ethodist church. Rev. H enry Franken, di­rector of K irkside a t Roxbury, preached the sermon and Rodericlc C. Dorrance and P ete r P arnell as­sisted in the services.

Ralph Reynolds of N arberth, P a., spent the weekend a t the Rey­nolds farm , now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Osbom. Mr. and Mrs. Osbom and Mr. Reynolds attended the purebred heifer sale a t Cobleskül Saturday. H anford Shultis was also present.

Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Horabeck visited Mrs. George Liddle a t the Fox hospitat, Oneonta, Tuesday evening.

Broke Knee Bone

Mrs. Irving Campbell broke a bone in her knee Tuesday and was taken to M argaretville hos­pital. She has been transferred to Kingston.

H as New Grandson

Mi*, and Mrs. Ralph Jurgeson of Skaneateles have a son, K urt Thomas, bom Friday, Oct. 9. Mrs. Elizabeth Dickson w ent to Skane­ateles Monday to m eet her new grandson.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Place Jr. and two daughters of W alton were Saturday aftem oon guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Place Sr.

Richard Fleury, who is in the A ir Force, arrived home for a furlough on Saturday. When he returns, he will be in Idaho.

Miss Peggy Hymers of Oneonta was a weekend guest of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. H arland Jester. ~

Robert M iller of Rutland, V t, spent Sunday and Monday with his m other, Mrs. H arold Miller. Monday they visited his grand­m other, Mrs. M ary'M iller, a t the W heeler nursing home in South K ortright.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Huggins and Mr. and Mrs. C arl MiUer of New Kingston m otored to the Skyline Drive in Vermont over the week­end. They returned by the way of Lake Champlain and Lake George.

Mré. M aria Gibson and daugh­ter, Mrs. Maude Murphy, visited her grandson and g ran d d au ^ te r, Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Jones, in Kingston from Wednesday through Saturday.

H alcottville, Oct. 12.—The an­nual booster night meeting of Wa­w aka Grange was held la st Mon­day evening, Oct. 5, a t the Grange hall. The retiring lecturer, Mrs. M arie Eignor, had charge of the program. Miss C harlotte Sanford of M argaretville showed slides taken on her European trip during the past summer.
