Suggestions for improvement of the Municipal/Bus Lines, in- luding moving the Los Angeles depot to the^jpaclfle Electric tation at 8th and Mahi, and contracting for new buses on a
mileage basis were handed the City Council Tuesday afternoon by William Murphey, acting tnanager of the lines.

Repairs to the Torrance Fire station were in the advanced stages this week with reinforc- ng and bracing of the roof com
pleted.Under the supervision of Sam
Levy, local merchant, the work s going along as scheduled, it
was reported.The cost as recorded up to
this morning, not including the concrete bond-beam on the roof for which a figure has not yet been received, is set at $1,039.68. Of this amount, $413.15 is for materials and $626.53 for labor.
Reinforcing of the walls is now in progress and the fenceguard around the station was removed completely yesterday.
