On September 27th 2010, IBM announced a definitiveagreement to acquire BLADE NetworkTechnologies (BLADE),
We have worked with BNT for years to providethousands of clients with networking solutions madeup of BladeCenter and System x.
As a strategic IBM investment, BLADE offers proven and sustainable innovation in networking technology that enables highly interconnected systems. This allows us to present infrastructure solutions (such as Cloud) in the same single-source foundation as HP and Cisco
This acquisition is about leveraging BLADE products and technology to ultimately do a better job of offering high-value IBM networking solutions. At the same time, we will continue to work with existing networking partners to offer clients a choice for workload optimized networking solutions.
