The Institution: Since its inception in 1995, R.M.K Engineering College
has grown into a unique institution providing high
quality academic environment. The college
maintains close interaction with several R&D
institutions. The National Board of Accreditation of
AICTE has accredited six programmes of the college.
The college is affiliated to Anna University and is
certified under ISO 9001-2008. Presently, the college
offers 7 under-graduate programmes and 6 post-
graduate programmes. The institution has excellent
infrastructural facilities to support undergraduate,
postgraduate programmes and research activities.
The college has been awarded “An Engineering
College having best overall performance” for the
year 2008 by the Indian Society for Technical
Education, New Delhi and “Lab VIEW Academy
award” for the year 2014 by National Instruments.
The College, located at a distance of about 35 km
from Chennai on the Chennai - Vijayawada National
Highway (NH 5), is easily reachable both by road and
rail.
The Department:
The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation
Engineering started in the year 1998, is accredited by
the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for a
period of 3 years during 2006 and provisionally
accredited for 2 years during 2013. The Department
has a very good academic record since its inception.
The students have fared well in the placements in the
academic year 2014-15. Above 90% of the eligible
students got placed in leading software and core
industries. The core industries include Honeywell,
Soliton, etc. Our department has bagged with 7
university ranks during 2013-14.
The department has state of the art Process Control
Laboratory, Measurements & Industrial
Instrumentation Laboratory and Transducer
Laboratory with major equipment like DCS, PLC and
Process stations. “LabVIEW Academy” is established
in collaboration with National Instruments, Bangalore
The Programme:
This training programme is useful to learn
about the LabVIEW programming concepts,
techniques, features and functions. The participants
can implement test and measurement, data
acquisition, instrument control, data logging,
measurement analysis and report generation
applications for developing their projects using
LabVIEW.
LabVIEW Core 1 course introduces the
LabVIEW environment, its features, dataflow
programming, and common LabVIEW architectures.
This course is the fastest way to become productive
with LabVIEW. At the end of Core 1 course, the
applications can be created using a state machine
design pattern to acquire, process, display, and store
real-world data. The hands-on training enables to
apply skills learned in the course tor real world
applications.
Duration: Three days
LabVIEW Core 2 course provides the training
to design complete stand-alone applications with
LabVIEW. This course is an extension of the LabVIEW
Core 1 course. Topics to be covered includes use of
event-driven programming, programmatic control of
user interface, techniques to optimize reuse of
existing code, use of binary file I/O functions, and
error handling practices. This course directly links
LabVIEW functionality to the application needs and
provides a jump-start for application development.
Duration: Two Days
On successful completion of Core I and Core II
training programme, interested participants will be
selected to attend online CLAD** (Certified Lab VIEW
Associate Developer) Examination.

RESOURCE PERSONS:
Sessions will be handled by Technical Expert from
National Instruments, India and CLAD certified faculty
members.

Filled up registration form is to be sent along with DD
for registration fee in favour of “The Principal, RMK
Engineering College, Kavaraipettai” on or before
29.05.2015.
