THE TYLER CLEMENTI STORY
Tyler was a college freshman and violin player at Rutgers University. His roommate, Dharan Ravi set up a webcam in Molly Wei’s room, and recorded a live stream of Tyler engaging in a sexual encounter with another guy.
When Tyler found out he wrote a status on Facebook saying “I’m jumping off the GW bridge, I’m sorry”
He later jumped off the bridge and died on September 22.

These two have been charged with illegally taping
the 18-year-old Clementi having sex and broadcasting the images via an Internet
chat program.
They have been sentenced to five years in prison.
BLAKE J RO BBINS VS. LO WER MERRIO N CASE
In Philadelphia school district gave out laptops with webcams to students, then used the webcams to secretly spy on the students.
The case was filed after the vice principal disciplined Robbins’ son for “improper behavior” in his home.
The laptop they gave out was issued to 1,800 students.
They’re seeking damages for invasion of privacy, theft of private information, and unlawful interception and access of electronic information.
