2013 - 2014: 22754 students on courses at ‘JBM accredited’ universities (all years).
Around 56% of these are student members. An additional 1025 student members on
approved courses in FE (Level 3/4/5).

HESA data suggests only c10% unemployment 6 months on for civil engineers.
The numbers industry needs aren’t going to be coming through the universities – overseas students.
Decline in part time HE numbers. But increase in Level 3. Apprenticeship is now a “brand”; part time day-release
isn’t. We have no Level 6. (Clarified at event, this refers to civil engineering. There is an extant Construction
Management level 6 Apprenticeship)
Around 60% of our Level 3 apprentices want to go all the way up.
