Q&A with the General School
Leader
-Our General School Leader,
Tim Daulter, has graciously
agreed to a monthly question
and answer session that will
allow us to ask the questions
that you have! We will collect
your questions prior to the
meeting date and submit them
to Tim so that he can
conceptualize more
meaningful responses in
advance (with the ancillary
benefit of allowing him to
entertain more questions in a
shorter period of time during
the Q and A session). We
encourage you to go ahead
and begin submitting your
queries! We request that
submitted questions relate to
school and AWS community
issues as a whole. If you
would like to discuss issues
related to specific students,
staff, et cetera, please contact
Tim directly. Please click here
to submit a question
Gnome Crossing- Please Drive
Fairy Carefully
The safety of our children and
the status of poor driving
habits has become a hot topic
on campus. While we work
with the school on finding
solutions, the simplest one of
all is for us drivers to monitor
our own driving habits.
Please: SLOW DOWN while on
campus, BE AWARE of children
walking across roads, NO CELL
PHONES while driving.
Spring Fair-
Saturday, April 25th, 9—1pm
This fun, annual event truly
captures the essence of
springtime at the Austin
Waldorf School. Gentle
breezes, the warmth of the sun
caressing our souls, children
frolicking about in the grass,
families mingling as laughter
tickles the ear - what an
amazing way to spend a
Saturday! Games, crafts,
music and memories - all free!
If you would like to volunteer in
any way (music, set-up,
breakdown, event support)
please contact Spring Fair
coordinator Katy Hamill

community-building event that
will benefit our beloved AWS!

Join us for a divine experience
as harpist Beverly McCune
nurtures us at our next
Nurturing Traditions
gathering, Thursday April 9th @
7PM. Open to all women in our
community!
From Beverly McCune: In our time
together we will experience the
nurturing vibration of the harp. The
transcendent quality of this ancient
instrument is known to work in the
physical realm in several ways such
as lowering heart rate and blood
pressure, bringing restorative rest
and relieving pain. In addition,
experiencing a tonal field created by
the sounding of strings stretched in
tension between heaven and earth,
the possibility is opened for us to
move into emotional and spiritual
depths where we have access to
deeper release, healing and
inspiration.
Where: Stargarden
classroom
When: April 9th @
7PM. The 2nd Thursday of
each month from 7 to
8:30 p.m.
What to bring: A snack to
share, and an object from
nature for the Medicine
Wheel.
Topic to be Shared/
Experienced: Healing
vibrations of the Harp.

About our Gatherings:
Most of the women in our community
serve many roles on a daily basis as
they manage raising children,
employment, marriage, housework,
and many other social demands. It
can be challenging to be present and
connected and maintain the balance
in life that Waldorf education
promotes. If we want to strengthen
our community and deepen the
understanding of our values, then we
must honor the challenges of our
Mothers, the Heart of our Homes. We
hope to create a place where we can
gather experiences that will support
us as we meet our daily tasks in a
balanced, joyful, and courageous
way. The Nurturing Traditions Circle
will provide the women of our
community a place where they can
reconnect with their divine feminine
being through support, music, art, and
movement. Painting, singing, yoga,
Eurythmy, Qi Gong, massage, and
other modalities will be shared that
can strengthen the light within and
thus nurture the entire community.

THIRD GRADE FIELD TRIP TO GREEN GATE FARMS Submitted by Deborah Mann
AWS third graders recently got a chance to do some agricultural studies on a field trip to Green Gate
Farms, working side by side with several ninth graders. The spirit of cooperation that was present made
for a great learning experience for everyone involved! Outstanding teamwork! Thank you to all who
helped coordinate efforts for this unique experience.
