Integrated Natural Resource Management

NEW INITIATIVES



› PRADAN has taken up a program on Adult Functional Literacy (AFL) in the Purulia district of West Bengal.

› The functional literacy program is targeted to reach around 3,200 women across two blocks—Barabazar and Kashipur.

› After passing through the Adult Functional Literacy Program, the neo-literate women are using their literacy and numeric skills in personal contexts.

› Received 223 applications and finally 24 students joined in July 2012

› School of Development Studies (SDS) and School of Human Studies (SHS) of AUD are offering the course

› In-house AUD Faculty and visiting Faculty from PRADAN along with Field Guides from PRADAN are working together to teach and supervise the Students
