ISNT Mumbai Chapter announces On-line Training cum Refresher courses on various NDT Methods
and BASIC. These courses are mandatory for ISNT NDT Level III certification as per IS: 13805-2004.
These courses are helpful for the candidates planning to appear for ASNT NDT Level III examination.
ISNT NDT Level III Training Course
a) It is mandatory to attend full duration of training in the NDT method to be eligible for taking the
ISNT NDT Level III examination in that method
b) Training for all the NDT methods, including BASIC will be conducted on-line on a virtual platform
c) Candidates will be attending the training courses from the comfort of their home/office. Registered
candidates will be sent the link for joining the virtual classroom
d) Candidates who do not hold a valid ISNT NDT Level III certificate will have to appear for BASIC
training course and examination. Those who are holding a valid ISNT NDT Level III certificate in
any method need not appear for training and examination on BASIC
e) The courses will be conducted to meet the syllabus of IS 13805:2004
f) The schedule of training courses along with the applicable fees and due date for registration is given
in Annexure 1.
g) Details of ISNT Mumbai bank account for remittance of course fees from India or Abroad is given in
Annexure 2
h) The course registration form is given in Annexure 3
ASNT Level III Refresher Course
a) Candidates can attend the refresher courses, which will help them prepare for ASNT NDT Level III
examinations
b) ASNT NDT Level III examination is conducted by ASNT and is an on-line examination
c) Candidates shall meet ASNT published eligibility requirements for appearing in the examination
d) Candidates attending BASIC course will be taught SNT-TC-1A and CP-189 to meet ASNT
examination requirements
e) The courses will be conducted to meet the syllabus of SNT-TC-1A:2016
f) The schedule of refresher courses and bank details for remittance of course fees from India or Abroad
are given in Annexure 1, 2 and 3
General Notes on Training/Refresher Courses
1. All the lectures will be approximately of two hours duration. Online classes will start by 09.30 hrs.
and will be completed by 19.30 hrs. with suitable breaks in between two lectures
2. The Course fee includes course material/class notes, which will be sent to the candidates through
courier before the start of the course
3. ISNT Mumbai GST No. is GSTIN 27AAAAI4749P2Z2. In case you like to draw back GST then
please indicate your GST No. in the Registration Form to prepare invoice accordingly
4. The course fee can be paid to ISNT Mumbai bank account by NEFT or by wire transfer. Please email
the advance copy of registration form along with transaction details once the payment is done to
5. Registration for the course is confirmed only on receipt of registration form and realization of full
payment towards course fees

ISNT NDT Level III Certification Examination
a) National Certification Board (NCB), ISNT will be conducting paper based (not on-line) written
examination for ISNT NDT Level III certification in accordance with IS 13805:2004
b) Candidates will have to physically visit the examination centre for taking the examination
c) Candidates, who do not hold valid ISNT NDT Level II certificate in the method for which NDT
Level III certification is sought, need to pass ISNT NDT Level II practical examination before they
are certified to ISNT NDT Level III
d) Candidate can take up the practical examinations at any of the examination centres authorized by
ISNT before they appear for ISNT NDT Level III examination. Candidates are advised to write an
email to [email protected] to schedule their practical examination
e) Candidates need to choose specific sector(s) for the method(s) they are appearing. Selection of at
least one sector for examination is mandatory to get certified in a method. Candidates are
encouraged to choose both the specific sectors when they appear for examination. The specific
sectors for all the NDT methods are given in Annexure 4
f) Candidates shall meet the NDT working experience requirements and submit supporting documents
along with the application form. Work experience requirements to be eligible for appearing in ISNT
NDT Level III examination are given in Annexure 5
g) Details of examination fees to be paid to National Certification Board, ISNT depending on the
method and specific sector for which NDT Level III certification is sought along with bank details
for remittance of examination fees from India are given in Annexure 6
h) Candidates are required to visit the examination centre on the day of examination. Currently,
examinations are planned at: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune and
Hyderabad. Additional examination centres may be announced later if there are sufficient number of
candidates from a particular city/region. The schedule of examinations is given in Annexure 7
i) The application form for examination is attached as Annexure 8. Candidates are required to send
the application form to NCB, ISNT at the following address:

The advance copy of the application form along with proof of payment made towards the
examination fees must be sent to [email protected] prior to the due date. The due date for submission of
application form is given in Annexure 7.
j) NCB, ISNT will be issuing the Admit Card to the candidates who are found to be eligible to take the
examination after scrutiny of application form and on receipt of full payment towards the
examination fees. No candidate will be allowed to take the examination who has not been issued
Admit Card
k) Candidates will have to sign a Self-Declaration Form regarding their health and the risk associated
while taking the examination under the prevailing conditions. The Self-Declaration Form is attached
as Annexure 9. Candidates will have to submit this form on reporting to the examination centre.
Candidate not meeting the requirements given in the Self-Declaration Form will not be allowed to
appear in the examination

ANNEXURE 1
CODE OF ETHICS FOR LEVEL III PERSONNEL 1. Purpose The essential character of Non Destructive Testing and evaluation is to certify a product or a structure that it is
conforming to the designer’s requirements. The responsibility on the part of the personnel issuing such a certificate is immense and hence this pledge.
2. Responsibility 2.1 To direct NDT operations through established techniques, honestly, sincerely and impartially by the method in
which he / she is qualified.
2.2 To safeguard the environment, safety and general well being of the public in the discharge of his / her professional duties. Whenever and wherever he / she finds deficiencies, which are likely to impair the safety, health and welfare of the public he / she shall bring these cases to the notice of the appropriate authority.
2.3 Not accept responsibility for the design or their report or statement involved and if the situation warrants,
disassociate his / her involvement with the situation. 2.4 Accept duties only in the technical fields wherein he / she possess adequate knowledge by training and
experience.
2.5 To be unbiased and unambiguous in reporting, stating or giving testimony, by taking care to exclude situations that can give rise to scope for misinterpretation.
2.6 To express an opinion as a technical witness before any court, commission or tribunal only when such opinion is founded upon adequate knowledge of the facts in issue, upon a background of technical competence in the subject matter and upon honest conviction of the accuracy and propriety of the testimony.
3. Code of Ethics 3.1 When employed by a client, he / she shall not undertake to subcontract the work to another company in which
he / she has business interest. 3.2 Shall present to the prospective employer details about him / her in a factual manner without exaggeration and
seek employment based only on the qualification and experience. 3.3 Shall not have business relationship with those who practice fraudulent methods. 3.4 Withdrawal of certificate by any other professional body, of which he/ she is a member, will be a ground for
disciplinary action. 4. Non compliance Non compliance of this code of ethics by any ISNT Level III certificate holder will lead to disciplinary action
against him / her and may lead to withdrawal of the certificate by NCB.
5. National Certification Board requires that a certified person signs an agreement for the following reasons: a) to comply with the relevant provisions of the certification scheme;
b) to make claims regarding certification only with respect to the scope for which certification has been granted;

c) not to use the certification in such a manner as to bring the National Certification Board into disrepute, and not to make any statement regarding the certification which the certification body considers misleading or unauthorized;
d) to discontinue the use of all claims to certification that contains any reference to the National Certification Board or certification upon suspension or withdrawal of certification, and to return any certificates issued by the National Certification Board;
e) not to use the certificate in a misleading manner.
6. “I will not use the logos of ISNT, NCB and ICN in any of my personal communications or other documents without the explicit permission of NCB-ISNT”
7. I shall, without delay, inform NCB any matter that can affect my capability to continue to fulfill
certification requirements. 8. Disclosure of information :
The Candidate’s information related to his/her certification activities obtained during certification process will be disclosed where statutory/law requires such information.
9. Non-Disclosure Agreement :
(i) Do not ask the Monitor/Examiner or any of your fellow colleagues for any clarifications. (ii) Candidate should not disclose any of the questions from the given exam paper.
