Since 1949, 7th December is observed as theArmed Forces Flag Day throughout thecountry to honour the martyrs and the men inuniform who valiantly fought on our bordersto safeguard the country's honour
At the same time, ouradmiration for the martyrsshould not mean that wehave little time for theliving heroes who werewounded while doing theirduty towards theirmotherland or their widowsand children whom they leftbehind to fend forthemselves
If I die in a war Zone, Box me up & send me home, Put my Medals on My Chest, Tell My Mom I did My Best
Many brave and gallant heroes from the Armed forces have laid down their lives in the service of the country.
Flag Day brings to the forefront our obligation of lookingafter our disabled comrades-in-arms, widows anddependents of those who have sacrificed their lives forthe country.
we observe the Armed Forces Flag Day. On this day theservices rendered by personnel of Army, Navy and AirForce are remembered. It is the collective duty of everycitizen of our country to ensure rehabilitation andwelfare of the dependents of our brave martyrs anddisabled personnel.
The Flag Day gives us an opportunity to contribute most generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund
Let us honour, salute and
acknowledge the Indian Armed
Forces and their families to
sacrifice their lives and
happiness to keep us “happy
and safe”
