In response to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, Tennessee Soccer Club created a Re-Entry Task Force in order to plan for a return to play. The Task Force, along with the Board of Directors, and in consultation with local medical experts, developed the TSC Return to Play (RTP) Action Plan that implements a phased approach to resuming activity.
With new Executive Order and guidelines mandating no contact in youth soccer currently in e!ect through the end of August, we have revised our plan to continue to provide the safest environment possible at all of our TSC facilities. We know that everyone will be excited to come together and train, however, it is impera-tive that all coaches, players and families adhere to these guidelines.
This TSC Return to Play (RTP) Action Plan addresses many critical details that must be followed by all players, parents, coaches, sta!, etc. to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved with our club and community. The plan allows for flexibility regarding the length of Stages II and III during the month of June. TSC will communicate the o"cial transition from Stage II to Stage III at the appropriate time. We are all in this together and need everyone’s commitment to follow these club mandates. As a TSC member, it is your responsibility to adhere to these policies and to report any positive COVID-19 test results immediately to the club to ensure the safety of our membership and limit further transmis-sion.
The progression through the stages of this action plan will be determined by Club Leader-ship in evaluating all current data available and based on guidelines from the Center for Disease Control, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee State Soccer Association, local govern-ment o"cials, and in consultation with health professionals.

return to play following confirmed or suspected covid-19 infectiony Symptomatic players and coaches with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection cannot attend any TSC practices or games until ALL the following criteria are met: y At least three days (72 hours) have passed with fever of less than 100.4, without the use of fever reducing medications y At least three days (72 hours) have passed with resolution of all symptoms including respiratory (e.g. inability to smell, cough, congestion, chest pain, shortness of breath or di!culty breathing), GI symptoms (e.g. inability to taste, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain), general fatigue y AND at least 14 days have passed since symptoms first appeared
y Players and coaches with confirmed COVID-19 infection who HAVE NOT had any symptoms cannot attend any TSC practices or games until: y 14 days after the date of their first positive COVID-19 diagnostic test, assuming no symptoms since that time
return to play following direct exposure to a suspected or diagnosed case of covid-19
Any asymptomatic player or sta" member who has been directly exposed to an individual with a suspected or diagnosed case of COVID-19 should be restricted from participation for at least 14 days and monitor for any symptoms consistent with infection. If asymptomatic after 14 days since last exposure, they can return to participation. In general, you need to be in close contact with an individual to contract the disease. In this case, direct exposure means any one of the following: y Living in the same household or being cared for by as an individual with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection y Being within 6 feet of an individual with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection for approximately 10 minutes or more (e.g. carpooling) -- OR -- y Coming in direct contact with secretions from an individual with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 infection (being coughed or sneezed on, sharing water bottle or utensils, etc.) Below is a hypothetical scenario along with the required TSC protocols that will hopefully help you better understand this. TSC player begins showing symptoms for COVID-19 and decides to get tested. The test result is positive for COVID-19 infection. The TSC player must quarantine a minimum of 14 days since their !rst date of shown symptoms and is restricted from all TSC training and games in that window of time. If this player followed all TSC protocol and DID NOT attend any training sessions while showing symptoms, then his/her teammates are able to continue to participating. If this player did not follow all TSC protocol and DID attend training sessions while showing symptoms, then his/her TSC teammates would be considered to have had direct exposure and would be restricted from all in-person TSC training for a minimum of 14 days.

process for returning to play after quarantineAll players who are required to quarantine due to exposure to or infection of COVID-19 MUST receive approval from TSC before returning to in-person TSC team activities. Upon receiving a player’s report, TSC will immediately contact the family to confirm receipt. TSC will contact each family, as well as the player’s coach, as their return date approaches to provide approval for return-ing to the fields. All players who are required to quarantine will have access to TSC’s Virtual Training Center. The player’s coach and/or Age Group Director will communicate throughout their quarantine all team updates, etc.
