Opening More Than One Browser

You are not limited to using only one Internet browser at a time. You can open several copies of Netscape and/or Internet Explorer and surf on each simultaneously. You only need to use the buttons in the taskbar to toggle between sites.

As you hop from page to page and website to website, your browser remembers where you've been. With Netscape, select History from the drop-

down list under the Communicator menu.

As you hop from page to page and website to website, your browser remembers where you've been. With Internet Explorer, click the History button

on the toolbar. There you'll find a list of all the web pages you have visited during a specified period of time. To revisit a page, just click on the address.

Another way to move between pages with Netscape is by clicking the right mouse button. A pop-up menu will appear. You can choose to move forward or back.

Using Find

Both browsers have a find feature. By using find you can save yourself much time that would otherwise be spent browsing a webpage for a specific keyword.

Without reading the entire page you can find the reasons for smoking listed using the Find feature. Click Edit…Find…type reasons. Then click Find Next. Your browser will instantly locate that keyword and save time spent reading the entire page. Now copy and paste the four most common reasons for smoking on a Word Document to save or print for your instructor.
