HTS and

Simon L

will give a presentation on:

“CFD modelling of multiphase flows in

chemical

Tuesday In recent years there has been a phenomenal increase in (CFD) by all industries in their design studies and troubleexamples will be presented to illustrate the benefits one can obtain from such analyses. Examples in Oil & Gas include: coupling of dynamic forces due to slug flow in pipe bends, effects of cooling in transport of viscous oil, wave impact on platform. Examples in Chemical & Process include: temperature profiles in shell and tube heat exchangers, multiphase mixing vessels, pneumatic conveying of particles, compact heat exchangers

Simon Lo is the Director for Chemical & Process ApplicationsCD-adapco and a Honorary Professor in Computational Multiphase Fluid Dynamics at The University of Nottingham. . He has oveCFD software development and in simulations of multiphase flow This is a joint meeting organised by HTS and SONG.register in advance because of the capacity limit Venue: IChemE HQ, One Portland Place, London. This is close to Oxford Circus tube station. Map attached. For more information contact: Colin Weil on 0208 428 0369, Brian Songhurst on 0786 763 2416or Toby Chancellor – Weale on 0771 200 6313.
