How to Design Joomla Websites?

Designing Joomla web sites, you just follow five simple steps. While many Joomla website designers try

to complicate the process , which should not necessarily be so .

Without wasting your time and mine , here are the five steps you need to take. You should note ,

however, that these are sequential steps. This means that you have to do the first one first, followed by

the second , etc. While you may sometimes still be able to build a Joomla site without actually following

some of these steps in sequence, is better not to. You'll see why as we go along .

Joomla Website Developer

So , this is what you need to do .

Install Joomla : Well, you cannot really do anything until after installing Joomla on your website . There

are a number of ways to do this . One of the two most common is to install the CMS using "Fantastico"

in your hosting account Control Panel. This takes about 3 minutes maximum and is the simplest and

easiest way to install Joomla. The other way is to install manually. To do this, you must load the Joomla

installation package on your website . Then follow the instructions to install it from there.

Configure Joomla : After successfully installing Joomla, you can now log in to the Joomla admin area or

Backend to configure it. The board of management area is the / administrator directory of your Joomla

site . Therefore, if - for example - you installed Joomla on mywebsite.com , your administration area will

be mywebsite.com / administrator. Once connected, select the "Site " tab at the far left and click on the

" Global Settings " . Follow the instructions to set up your site , server, and system information . This can

take anything from 3 to 10 minutes to go .

Create Joomla Content: The next step required for the design of your website is to create your Joomla

content sections , categories and content items or pages. The content sections are the largest divisions

in your Joomla content . Categories are groupings of content for each section. Content items , pages or

articles ( as they are called in different ways ) are the pieces of content that are published in each

category. For example, to find their " How to design a website Joomla " article or page on your website ,

you may have to go to the section of the CMS , select the category of Joomla and you will find the " How

to Design Joomla Websites" article or page . This content hierarchy will look like this :

Section ==== > Category === > In the Item / Page .

It's just a very simple and organized in managing your content in Joomla way . Note that you can have as

many content sections , categories or content pages as you want. It is virtually unlimited. So if you are

designing a Joomla article directory or just a simple web niche site, you 'll find that Joomla CMS still

serve its purpose anyway.

Create menus: the Joomla menu or site navigation system is divided into categories . For example , you

can have a menu category for its payment products , the other for gifts and even other articles for your

niche. Now, within each category will have menu items. So if - for example - who wants to have their

products accessible from the same menu category payment may , therefore , have an " Internet

Marketing Products" menu category . Under this , you will have a menu item that links to your ebook

blogs, another menu item that links to their course of "social networking" , and yet still another that

points to your membership site traffic generation . And so on. You can also have any of the menu items

point to a content section , category or page of your website. These are simple creativity.

Edit and customize the Site : A good reason to design Joomla websites is that you can actually modify

and customize your Joomla as much or as little as you want . Therefore, it is possible that both use the

same template, for example, but each of us can change the template and rearrange the modules so that

the finished website cannot look anything like the original site. You can customize your Joomla website

by:

- Installing new templates and modify them according to your taste.

- Modifying and customizing existing templates that come with Joomla

- Installation of new components for Joomla

- Installation and modification of modules and change their positions on the website .

- And much more ...

You can do this and more in the "Extensions" tab in your administration area.
