How to Build Self Confidence
Self confidence is attitude which allows individuals to have positive realistic views of themselves and their situations. The most people often feel not confident. It comes from ourselves, it happens because we feel there is something wrong from us. Self confidence can’t be obtained easily or just need overnight to get it, but need some process to achieve it. It needs dedication to realize that you can be a good human for your future. There are some ways to build your self confidence :
1. Understanding your discomfort.
What makes you feel uncomfortable? For example, in English class we feel
less active so that makes you feel uncomfortable in the classroom. Anything
that makes you feel unworthy, ashamed, or low . Then try to identify and
write it down on piece of paper. And start feeling the positive ones on the text.
2. Talk about it with friends and the special ones.
If by writing your problem is not enough help, you can talk with your friends
or family. To talk about it to anyone who we believe and can give advice that
is best for us. Then this will make your mind more lighter and happier.
3. Bounce back from your mistakes.
Remember that no one is perfect. Even the most confident people have
discomfort. At the some point in life, we may not feel enough. That’s the
reality that life is never flat. Depending how we react to it. Take lessons in
each issue and give yourself spirit.
4. Identify Your Success.
Every person is born with their own talents and strengths, find something that
is you. For example, you are an expert in a particular field then focus to
develop it. Express themselves through art, music, writing and others. Look
for something that you enjoy. When you feel begin to expert in a particular
field, then everything will be easy to develop your confidence. Add your
various interest of life will not only make you more confident, but it will
increase your chances of meeting compatible friends.
5. Be thankful for what you have.
Sometimes, you don’t have the self confidence because you haven’t feel
enough of something yet. Whether it’s money, luck, your performance, and so
on. By realizing and appreciating what do you have, you can put down the
feeling of being incomplete and unsatisfied. Finding the inner peace will do
wonders for your confidence.
6. Be positive, even you don’t feel the same way.
Don’t feel pity at yourself because it makes everyone believe that you are
nothing. Instead, speak positively about yourself, about your future, and about
your progress. Don’t be afraid to show your strengths and qualities to others.
By doing so, you strengthen the ideas in your mind and boost your growth in a
positive direction.
7. Accept the praise gracefully.
Don’t roll your eyes and say, “yeah, right,” or shrug it off. Don’t be arrogant
about it and try to humble but take it to heart and respond positively by saying
“thank you” and give smile.
8. Look in the mirror and smile.
By looking in the mirror and smile every day, you might feel happier with
yourself and more confident in the long run. It’s good to raise your confident.
9. Fake it.
Along everything of your condition that can make you feel happy, make your
life as happy as possible. Act be a confident human can built your confident.
Pretend like a confident human with version of you will make you believe
about it and you will feel confident of yours.
10. Stick to your principles.
It might be difficult, but if you don’t have something or principles that you
can believe in, you don’t have anything. If you don’t stand for something, you
will fall for anything. Don’t care about problem that will come to your life,
you must be consistant that from this day you will stay with your principles
that you have.
11. Help others.
You must be know that if you are kind to the people around of you and
making a positive difference in other people’s live for example you must say
thank to people who help you finish your problem. You will know that you
can be a positive force in the world and it will boost your self confident.
In brief, there are many ways to build our self confidence. So, we have to take that
ways to our life. And it’s necessary to build our self confidence to face our life and
give a good contribution to ourselves and help others. And just believe to ourselves
like a proverb says, ”Be yourself. There is something that you can do better than any
other. Listen to the inward voice and bravely obey that.” (Isam Alfirdauz)
