Management of landscaped areas

The existing & proposed hedges & shrubs will require trimming twice a year to retain a neat and formal appearance.

The shrubs will require pruning to remove broken or dying branches in March/April and again in the Autumn..

A general purpose fertiliser should be applied twice a year during the growing season.

Plants will require watering during prolonged dry periods, especially during the first 2 years of establishment, in

line with local EA restrictions, eg. hosepipe bans

with the following exceptions/amendments:

Cornus spp. cut back in February, Santolina spp. trimmed to 30mm in early spring

Weed control to be by hand weed/spraying with glyphosate at manufacturer's recommended dilution in April & July.

Top up bark mulch to 50mm every winter to keep weed suppression at maximum

All the above operations to be continued for 5 years from planting
