PSALMODY
Psalm 138
(Antiphon) All: Lord, Your faithful love endures forever.
Side 1: I will give You thanks with all my heart;
I will sing praises to You before the gods.
I will bow down toward Your holy temple
And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.
Side 2: On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul.
All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O LORD,
When they have heard the words of Your mouth.
Side 1: And they will sing of the ways of the LORD,
For great is the glory of the LORD.
For though the LORD is exalted,
Yet He regards the lowly,
But the haughty He knows from afar.
Side 2: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
Side 1: The LORD will accomplish what concerns me;
Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is everlasting;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Leader: Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
All: As it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen.
(Antiphon) All: Lord, Your faithful love endures forever.
PSALM PRAYER
Faithful God, Your name is above all others: hear the
prayer of your humble people and increase our
strength of soul that we may preserve our life forever
and ever. Amen.
READING (LEADER) Joel 2:12-13
Yet even now - declares the LORD - return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, weeping and
mourning. Rend your hearts, not your garments and return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, and relenting in punishment.
The Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God

(Antiphon) All
Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake; watch over us as we sleep, that awake, we may keep watch
with Christ, and asleep, rest in His peace.
All
Lord, now You let Your servant go in peace.
Your word has been fulfilled.
My own eyes have seen the salvation
which You have prepared in the light of every people,
a light to reveal You to the nations,
and the glory of Your people, Israel.
(Antiphon) All
Protect us, Lord, as we stay awake; watch over us as we sleep, that awake, we may keep watch
with Christ, and asleep, rest in His peace.
PRAYER
Leader
God of mercy and goodness, when Christ called out to You, You heard Him and gave Him victory
over death because of His love for You. We already know the affection You have for us. Fill us
with a greater love of Your name, and we will proclaim You more boldly before all, and happily lead
them to celebrate Your glory.
All Amen.

May the all-powerful Lord grant us a restful night and a peaceful death.
