Sophie Scholl was a fearless leader of an undergroundstudent resistance group in Munich called “The WhiteRose”. She and her brother Hans were arrested by theGestapo in 1943 for distributing pamphlets oncampus. During their “trial” they boldly called forfreedom, rights, and personal responsibility. Sophie

never once backed down even in the face of certaindeath. Using the historical records of her inter-rogations and trial, this Oscar nominated 2005 film re-creates the last six days of her young life. A tenseand compelling story of courage in a world gone mad.
