HMC EMPLOYEES SHARE MUD RUN FUN!

BAYMONT BIG SPRINGS GRAND OPENING

Carl Haynes and his group from Pleasanton were recently given praise by Patrick Breen, Brand Senior Vice President, for providing an exceptional guest experience for a valued customer and embracing the Count on Me! service culture. The philosophy embraces three major principals:

* Being RESPONSIVE to the needs of every individual.* Being RESPECTFUL in every way.* Going above and beyond to DELIVER a great

experience, every time.

Service culture is vital to the success of every hotel and putting the customer first creates loyal guests and helps to promote your long-standing reputation of superior guest satisfaction and service.

HMC is proud of all of your continued efforts and foresee many of these acknowledgements from not only hotel brands, but owners and most important of all - guests!

We’re proud to share that staff from two HMC hotels were willing to get dirty for local worthwhile charity events in their markets this quarter.

Susan Frear and her sales team from Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey ran in a mud run on August 23rd to support the local YMCA.

In addition, Hershey Partnership’s Soup Cook-Off, a Fall family event, took place on October 3rd where a portion of the proceeds went to the Hershey Volunteer Fire Department.

The Ramada Odessa is delighted to name Michael Flood as our Star Associate of the Quarter.

Michael was initially interviewed to become the part-time security guard three nights a week, but in only a few months, fully embraced the concepts of “Guest Service” and “Team Member”. He immediately realized that knowledge of the PMS was a valuable tool and quickly took it upon himself to learn as much as he could. He learned it so proficiently that he became one of only two staff members assisting in the accounting office and is regularly asked to perform detailed research for our Accounting Manager, who is quoted as saying, “Along with the other GSR who helps in my office, Michael has learned and taught me more about our PMS than I could have ever learned on my own in such a short period of time”.

Michael also performs Night Security duties on heavier traffic nights. On more than one occasion, Michael has used his former experience as personal security for celebrities to manage potentially out of control situations. In each instance, he has handled the situations professionally and without incident.

Guests love Michael and his friendly and helpful manner. A recent customer (elderly woman) handed a note to the GM and it said, “Michael – On duty Tuesday night was a delight. So helpful and cheerful.” She later followed up by posting on Booking.com, “The young man at the front desk, Michael, was extremely helpful with a couple of challenges I encountered. He helped quickly and pleasantly.” This earned the hotel an 8.8 out of 10 rating. Michael has also garnered numerous other compliments shared with Ramada’s GM regarding guest stays such as, “Sir, you have a real winner in Michael, I hope you realize that,” and “Please tell Michael thanks so much for his assistance last night when we checked in, he was so helpful and welcoming after so many hours on the road.”

FULL-SERVICE STAR MANAGER FULL-SERVICE STAR ASSOCIATEThe Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Pleasanton has selected Stacy Estes as their STAR Associate of the Quarter.

Stacy has held numerous positions at the hotel and was a member of the original opening team in February 2014. Throughout her career with HMC, Stacy has made valuable contributions to the success of the hotel, guests, and her co-workers. She has worked Night Audit, Front Desk, Laundry and Housekeeping and was promoted to Front Office Manager in February 2015.

She continues to be a valuable asset to the hotel with outstanding customer service skills and her continued eagerness to learn more about the operation. She often seeks out new opportunities to assist guests and raise the level of performance from not only herself, but the employees who report to her. She also maintains the A/R with weekly billing and follow-up to collections, as well as additional financial support as needed. In addition, Stacy is a working manager covering shifts whenever she can to help control payroll.

She is very deserving of this recognition and we are proud to name her STAR Associate of the Quarter.

SELECT-SERVICE STAR MANAGER SELECT-SERVICE STAR ASSOCIATERalph Rogers started his career with the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey in September of 2014.

Ralph consistently adjusts and changes his work schedule on many occasions, without hesitation or complaint, in order to address challenges within the department. He also pitches in to help Housekeeping such as shampooing carpets.

Ralph is also the hotel’s television repair person and even when he is at home and not working, he is pleased to answer calls from any of the maintenance staff with regards to any TV issues.

He never seems to have a bad day, although we know differently particularly with our on-going renovations and the challenges these present to our engineering department.

On the personal side, he’s an ordained minister with 4 children and 10 grandchildren. He’s also an Eagles fan (this is noted because his manager is a Cowboys fan)!!!

We are proud to annuonce Ralph as HMC’s choice for Star Associate. He exemplifies what a company looks for in a associate, dedcated to his

The Radisson Hotel Harrisburg selected Dorothy Wissler for the Star Manager of the Quarter.

Dorothy has been with this property since April 2001. She started as a Housekeeping Supervisor and was promoted to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager position in 2003. In 2011, she was promoted to Executive Housekeeper. During this time, Dorothy has totally dedicated herself to the success of the hotel.

She takes pride in her work and her staff and goes above and beyond for guests on a daily basis. She shows true leadership for the VIP guests in-house by personally making sure their expectations are met or exceeded and because of Dorothy’s impact, the property’s guest service and inspection scores have been elevated.

Her staff adores and respects her because she is not afraid to do any job. In the event of staff absences, she will frequently pick up a board of rooms in addition to her own responsibilities as a supervisor.

She also continues to keep a positive line of communication open between her department and the other departments so that the hotel runs smoothly, with all departments working with the same goal of guest satisfaction.

Dorothy is a true asset to the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg, with 14 years of dedicated service.
