Presence status information
2 Functions
myPortal entry Web Services provides you with access to the following functions.
2.1 Presence status information
The use of Presence status information enables you to improve your availability.
Due to the perfect interplay between the three clients, internal and mobile
employees can always see the presence status of others and thus optimize their
own accessibility.
2.1.1 Set and display status
Using myPortal entry, myPortal web or myPortal for Openstage, users can set
their own Presence status and forward calls accordingly to their voicemail, for
example, or to any other phone number and thus improve their accessibility. The
Presence status and the Return time are shown to all other myPortal entry and
myPortal web users. Users who have already turned off their Desktop PCs in the
office and forgotten to update their presence status can also change their
respective status conveniently via the graphical user interface of their OpenStage
60/80 phones.
2.1.2 Status-based Call Forwarding
Each employee can set up specific call forwardings for his or her respective
Presence states. When the user subsequently changes his or her Presence
status, myPortal entry Web Services automatically sets the saved call forwarding
and thus ensures optimum availability. Consequently, no calls are lost.
2.2 Integrating Mobile Stations
HiPath communication systems enable the simultaneous signaling of incoming
calls on multiple devices, including both remote and mobile devices. The called
devices are represented in myPortal entry and myPortal web as internal system
stations, together with the current Presence status.

FunctionsOne Number Service (ONS)
2.3 One Number Service (ONS)
myPortal web and myPortal entry use the One Number Service (ONS) of the
HiPath communication system. This enables the user to be reached under one
number, regardless of his or her current location or the device being used.
For outbound calls, the One Number Service replaces the call number of the used
connection by the previously defined central number of the user. This ensures
that mobile phone numbers are not transmitted unintentionally, for example, but
nonetheless enables a clear identification of the caller.
When a function key is programmed with a station number of an internal
subscriber who is configured for myPortal, it also shows the Presence status of
that subscriber.
Using the PABX feature codes, for example, the Do Not Disturb (*97) function
could be assigned to a function key. Clicking a function key then initiates dialing
immediately or executes the procedure.
2.4 Optimum Utilization of Tariff Rates
Using the Callback or Call through function of myPortal web, mobile employees
can conduct calls via the phone system of the company and thus benefit from the
best tariff rates available to them.
2.5 Access to Various Directories
myPortal web and myPortal entry offer numerous phone directories with fast
access to:
• All internal subscribers, including their current Presence status
• All speed dial numbers configured in the system
• Favorites lists created using myPortal entry
The directories can be searched, and the entries can be optionally dialed either
directly or via the One Number Service.
Using myPortal entry, the user can create a personal directory in which he or she
can then enter contact details manually or import existing contacts directly from
Microsoft Outlook or other sources as a CSV file.

3.3.1 Supported Call Number Formats
Phone numbers are entered in myPortal web as when dialing from an internal
phone, i.e., possibly with the Central Office number, if configured accordingly. In
addition, the canonical format is supported.
3.3.2 Inbound Calls
Incoming calls are signaled as set up on the smartphone and answered by using
the normal operating procedure of the smartphones. Depending on the
smartphone model, the myPortal web application may be placed in the
background on receiving an incoming call so that the call can be signaled and
conveniently answered.
3.3.3 One Number Service (ONS)
When outgoing calls are made via the One Number Service, the call number
defined for the subscriber in the communication system is displayed to the called
party instead of the phone number of the smartphone.
To use the One Number Service and to fully exploit the optimum tariff rate, all calls
must be set up via the HiPath communication system. The "Callback" and "Call
Through" procedures are available for this purpose.

3.3.4 Optimum Utilization of Tariff Rates
The callback and call through procedures guarantee the best use of existing
communication rates.
Callback" is preferably used with special tariff rates or flat rates from the PBXsystem into the mobile network. Call through", by contrast, exploits the special
rates of existing cellular contracts for calls into the fixed network.
Depending on which tariff rate is better, the user can optionally also decide to set
up the call directly via the GSM network without using the callback and call
through functionality. In such cases, however, all previously mentioned functions
such as the One Number Service and presence status are not taken into account.
The preferred dial mode is preset centrally, but can be changed by the user via
the user interface of myPortal web if required.
3.3.5 Ending a Call
Ongoing calls can be terminated via the normal operating procedure on the
smartphone.
3.4 Telephone Directories
myPortal web offers the user three phone directories with search and dial
functions in addition to the contact list of the smartphone. The preset dialing
method to use the One Number service is taken into account when dialing from
the phone directory. The list view of a directory shows the following details:
• Name
• Phone number(s) and
• Symbol for origin of entry
• Presence status (only in the internal directory)
Personal Contacts
The personal contacts include the contact data that was entered via myPortal
entry or imported from MS Outlook. For each contact, up to three different phone
numbers can be stored in the personal contacts in addition to the last name andfirst name:
• Business Phone No. Business phone number of the subscriber.
• Mobile Phone No. Mobile phone number of the subscriber.

Number of myPortal
web subscribers
Max. 100 The limitation arises from the max. number
of entries in the "Mobility Entry Table" of thePBX system. In practice, the number of
available CO channels must be taken into
account. Each active connection that is set
up via the mobile callback or DISA call
through method occupies two CO channels
of the PBX system.
Number of myPortal
entry subscribers
Max. 100 The meaningful number is determined by
usage behavior as well as the connection to
the PBX system. The table on the traffic
values of the PBX system and the web
server must also be taken into account.
