Astute developed a custom solution for mappingthird-partydataintoPeopleSoftusingthefollowingapproach:
• Eachthird-partysystemwillgenerate a custom flat file containing important financial information as determined bythebusinessunitsandtheir respective reporting needs.
• Namedusersinthese‘Properties’will logintoPeopleSoftusingtheweb interface and find access to a restricted environmentthroughwhichtheycan perform data uploads and validate theirdata.ThedeliveredFlatFile JournalImportpagewillbeusedfor this(usingDefaultGLDocumentType).
• Oncethedatafilehasbeenuploaded, itwillbevalidated(againstthe PeopleSoftAccountingChartfields) using standard PeopleSoft processing logic and posted.
