ARCHITECTURE
Life is about moments. Moments of interest. Moments of intrigue. Moments for contemplation. And, of course, moments of beauty.
Home is the place where so many of life’s most memorable moments will play out. A home should manifest boundless opportunities for momentary possibilities; moments that, regardless of how large or small, are what define the contours of your life. MontVue has been consciously crafted with these moments in mind. Moments created from the heights of the rooftop terrace, enjoying a meal with friends overlooking the rolling hills toward the Ranges. Moments of peaceful retreat, from inside sun-dappled rooms as the sound of wildlife sings from outside your window. Moments of culinary adventure, as you challenge your inner master-chef in the kitchen, and moments of simple gratitude.
From its elevated site, nestled amongst the lush veil of Mount Street’s idyllic streetscape, MontVue has been designed so that, although complimenting the existing fabric of its locale, stands as an impressive structural form. A modern display of architectural ingenuity, the facade gently staggers, layering external spaces in a geometrical way - stacking windows, doors and balcony spaces - so that while aesthetically appealing, also encourages the flow of natural light internally.

The distinctly modern character of MontVue is perhaps most palpable within its kitchen, where robust, raw materials and strong linear shapes are layered against soft, natural fibres; the oppositional parallels of these elements melding into spaces that are stylish and functional, but with a unique industrial edge. Intuiting the movement of daily tasks, large bench spaces, abounding cupboards, cleverly placed fixtures and fittings, along with thoughtfully selected technology, means mealtimes have an almost rhythmic fluidity.

Heidelberg Lifestyle
There’s a sense of reassurance that comes from living in a suburb that has a main hub from which all matters of convenience can be found. Burgundy Street is just this hub for Heidelberg. The cornerstone of the town, here you will find a plethora of dining, retail and lifestyle amenities, unique in their offerings, but united by their shared commitment to providing the local community a flawless service experience.
Burgundy Street. Home to the usual suspects, Coles, chemists, produce stores and an abundance of places to fill your stomach or help you empty your wallet, what Burgundy Street also houses however, is the keys to healthy living - quite literally. As you meander your way to the bottom of the street, past the train station and other landmarks, you will find a collection of the city’s leading hospitals and health providers, a well-regarded addition to any neighbourhood.
Leo’s Fine Food & Wine. Long time Burgundy Street resident, and purveyors of the finest of fine foods, Leo’s stands as a beacon of gourmet delight for locals.
Lime Fresh Produce. The hypnotic daze that befalls you when you enter Lime Fresh Produce is spellbinding. The shelves perfectly lined with vibrant displays of fruits and vegetables so fresh that their skins exude a kind of gleaming effervescence.
Capeside Coffee. Proving that you don’t need a lot of peplum to make an incredibly successful establishment, Capeside delivers a powerful punch in a very minimalist way. Setting up shop in a decidedly minuscule sized premise, the light and airy coffee place has mastered the art (and aesthetic) of bare-modernism.
Miss Marie. A satirical, Australiana kind of playfulness defines Miss Marie’s menu. A colourful stack of pastel hued pancakes - layered with passionfruit mascarpone, fresh strawberries and crumbled meringue - masquerades as a breakfast pavlova, while in a jovial affront to political-correctness, the Hey Bloke is jam-packed with enough greasy-pleasure to make even Elvis’ arteries give a small squeal of fright.
Heidelberg’s serene charm belies the seriousness with which locals regard their cultural pleasures.

Perched perfectly amongst the picturesque vistas that distinguish Mount Street’s idyllic streetscape, MontVue offers the rare opportunity to discover the natural beauty of Melbourne’s urban fringe. A street defined by ornate façades, punctuated by greenery, capturing some of the city’s most breathtaking views and sharing in Heidelberg’s enviable suite of amenities, this is everything you ever dreamed inner-city living could be.

Parks, Recreation
One of Heidelberg’s most celebrated characteristics is that while being a gateway to the CBD, there is an unmistakable aura or suburban charm emanating throughout the suburb. Wide, treelined streets are flush with houses encased by lush, spacious blocks and there is an unwavering sense of calm from the abounding parklands, natural bushlands, flowing rivers and picnic areas.
While the veil of greenery that defines the suburb casts a kind of dreamy serenity over Heidelberg, the expansive fields of nature also seems to imbue the community with an innate commitment to health and activity. Almost as many recreational facilities can be found housed in these pockets of nature, as the opportunity for unkempt exploration allows.
Parks. And, MontVue shares in this very sense of natural tranquility. Hills rolling out towards the nearby ranges can be found looming inside apartments teeming with stunning vistas, while a short stroll will find you taking in the grounds of the Albert Jones Reserve, the Warringal Parklands or a longer hike along the Yarra will lead to the stunning Banksia Park. The ideal escape route, regardless of whether you like to disconnect - with a picnic rug, a book,
or just your thoughts - or reconnect - perhaps with a ball, some wine with friends or just your sneakers and the running track - there is undoubtedly a pocket of nature beckoning.
Heide Museum of Modern Art. Opportuning exploration of a different kind, the manifestation of both the area’s artistic roots and its continued presence as a source of cultural influence, Heide MOMA has for generations symbolised the community’s passion for and commitment to modernity. Throughout the years, Heide welcomed some of Australia’s most progressive artists, who produced some of the country’s most iconic and revolutionary art within its grounds. The site now stands as a museum, immortalising the sagacity of its predecessors whilst promoting the work of contemporary artists working in a similar, subversive vein.
Café Vue. With this cultural progression in mind, it’s only fitting that Heide’s own epicurean offering, Café Vue, would be headed by Australia’s own mastermind of gastronomical innovation, Shannon Bennett. A household name, Bennett’s contribution to the unification of art and food has made for an ideal fit to the Heide family. Housed in the incredible Heide grounds, the café artfully plates up a thoughtful menu of seasonal, soulful food, reflective of its picturesque surrounds and inspired by the creativity of its context.
Peaceful neighbourhoods are defined by leafy cul-de-sacs and pockets of natural parklands that exude an unwavering sense of calm.

Education, Transport & Local Amenities
3 2
Heidelberg’s dramatic increase in popularity as a housing destination is due to its reputation as both a suburban sanctuary and as a satellite city, with a strong economy and substantial public infrastructure. Whilst rich in culture and plush with an infinite sense of tranquil serenity, it is an affordable destination on the doorstep of the city. The result is a suburb experiencing a renaissance, driven by an innovative philosophy reflective of this progress. Here you will find a community promoting excellence in its schools, transport systems, public amenities and community programmes.
Mercy Hospital for Women & Austin Hospital. A suburb famed for its continued success in leading Australia in medical technologies and advancement, Heidelberg plays host to a solid list of medical institutions and practitioners at the helm of their respective fields. Having some of Australia’s, and indeed the world’s, leading medical centres at your doorstep offers an invaluable sense of peace-of- mind. Employing some 8,000 staff,
the precinct is estimated to have added close to $1.4 billion to the Victorian economy, a significant proportion of which remained in Heidelberg’s own coffers. There is a strong correlation between the precinct’s continued growth and the subsequent demand for housing experienced throughout the suburb. With further expansion plans on the horizon, it would be fair to assume that this growth is set to continue on this upward trajectory.
Heidelberg Station. This sense of innovation is similarly found in the local transport network, with Heidelberg’s enviable public transport system standing as a highly regarded example of a community committed to improving the life of its inhabitants. Highly connected, MontVue sits adjacent to the train station and is benefited by the simplicity of having major arterials carrying residents almost directly to their door. This connectivity is what makes these homes not only eminently liveable, but unparalleled in their location too.
Local Educational Offerings. With a rich cultural heritage, Heidelberg and its neighbouring suburbs offer a diverse range of educational offerings all bound by a similar pledge to excellence. Echoing the suburb’s fusion of melding curiosity and creativity, public schools such as Heidelberg Primary and Banyule Primary flourish alongside private offerings from Viewbank College, Marcellin College and Ivanhoe Grammar.
A covetable suite of public zones encourage connection, to one another as well as the outside world.
