Staff Development Registration

To begin the registration process, visit the Hancock County Schools Website. You will need to scroll down and look on the left side for the link entitled

You are now looking at the Staff
Development Registration page. The text in black
describes the site, and the text in blue offers instruction in its use. The icons across the top are
to aid in navigation.
Begin by clicking on
View By Category
Currently, only one offering is listed. It is in
the category called
TEACHER TOOLS. Even as more are added, the simplest way to begin is to simply click on the
GO! Button
Notice that a sub-category (GradeQuick) and a Class
(Getting More Out Of GradeQuick) are now
listed. The [A] indicates the course is ACTIVE and
you may get additional information about it by
clicking on the link.
Notice also that help is available by clicking on the email link or by
calling the Curriculum office
You are now able to see a description of Course SD29-0002, Getting More Out Of Gradequick. You are also able to see the date and times of the sections being offered as well as a location (Rockefeller Career Center). You can also tell by the green oval that the sections are OPEN, meaning they have not been filled. To register for any of the sections, simply click on the date of that session. (* Note – you may register even if the section is full if you wish to be placed on a waiting list.)
After clicking on the date, you see additional
description of the course, contact information for
further information, and the instructor’s name.

You are now presented with the opportunity to
REGISTER for this particular section.
You are now at the screen which will allow you to register for the course. We have preset all user ID’s for Hancock County Schools employees to the User ID portion of their ACCESS email account (this would be the portion to the left of
@access.k12.wv.us
We have also preset the password to be the same as the User ID (for example – if Sample Employee were registering and his email were [email protected],
his User ID would be semploye, and his password would also be semploye. Please note that the password IS case sensitive, so use lower case. You may change your password and it is recommended that you do so.
Notice that this user is logged on. If you were not logged on when you began
the process, you will need to repeat the initial steps (View
by category, click on GO, click on the Course Name,
click on the section date, and finally click on REGISTER
once again.
After doing so, you will be taken to a screen to
complete the registration process. This may take a
short time.
When you complete the form, you will see that some items
are OPTIONAL as indicated to the right. It is advisable to include a phone number so
that you may be notified in the event of a change of status in
the class, but this is not required. The email address is
required, and should be pre-filled for you.
You MUST indicate your position (i.e., Teacher,
Administrator, Secretary, etc.) and Sub Position if applicable (for Teachers – Secondary, Primary, etc.) Then click on Submit Registration. If there
are errors, they will be indicated.
Once your registration is successfully completed, you will see a similar screen. Please note that a registration number has been generated (“5” in this case) and an email has been sent to confirm your registration.
A reminder email will also be sent a short time prior to the class.

Instructions for obtaining your transcript will be sent soon.
