Guest lecture on Advanced technology used in Microprocessor & Microcontroller was organized by Electronics
Engineering departmental under forum activity Zenith 2K16 on 20th
September 2016 in S-07 for V sem B from
11.30AM to 12.30PM & for V sem A from 12.30PM to 1.30PM. Mr. Shrikant Bhandarkar, Production & Designing
Head, from Electus Robotics, Nagpur guided students about Advanced technology used in Microprocessor &
Microcontroller. He also informed real time applications of Microprocessor & Microcontroller in robotics. Information
was also given about software tool & hardware used for design of robots & real time applications using
microcontroller. Total 68 students from V B & 65 students from V A Electronics Engg were present for guest lecture.
The guest lecture was arranged by Forum Incharge Prof S. N. Joshi.
“The department of Electronics Engineering Won the patriotic skit competition”

The department of Electronics Engineering Won the 1st Prize in patriotic skit competition held “Abhyudaya” on 13
th
august 2016. Under the Guidance of H.O.D Dr. S.S. Dorle , Forum Incharge Prof. S.N. Joshi and Prof. Manker the
students of the ZENITH FORUM helped create a patriotic skit on the topic of Society Culture in INDIA and its
progress from independence till date. The skit was an inspired piece of girl born in India and her discovery of her
homelands culture. The skit won the first prize among 10 different departments and was awarded by Dr. Priti Bajaj,

department on 20/08/2016. Honorable Director Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Dean R&D Dr. U. S. Wankhede, Head of Department Dr. Sanjay Dorle,
Dr.Shubhangi Giripunje, Dean PG, R&D Co-Coordinator Prof. Rahul S. Agrawal, Ph.D Scholars, PG Scholars of Different branches and
Expert were present on that occasion. The renowned Expert Dr. Alok Barua From IIT, kharagpur, India has invited for valuation of
Research Work. Dr. Alok Barua has given his valuable suggestions to candidates about the Ph.D.work. PhD. Scholars, MTech III Semester
students and Faculties of Electronics Engineering Department have attended the seminar.
EVENT: Department of Electronics Engineering organized a event LAN GAMING
“FIFA” on 27th August 2016 under forum “Zenith” 2K16
Department of Electronics Engineering organized a non-technical event LAN GAMING “FIFA” on 27
th August 2016 under
forum “Zenith” 2K16 for new session 2016-2017. Total 18 students participated in this event. Two participants were competing at the
same time. The first round was knocking out round. The participants were shortlisted on the basis of their game. There was also a
benefit for participants who were having a maximum goal difference. The Electronics Engineering Departmental students Forum
members work hard for organize the event under the supervision of Prof. S. N. Joshi & Prof. P. J. Mankar. After the event Dr. S. S.
Dorle, HOD, Electronics Engineering Department appreciated Forum members and participated students and also congratulate the
winners.
One Day Workshop on “Study of Advanced Microcontroller & Hands on Intel Galileo”
organized by Electronics Engineering Department under Forum Zenith

One day workshop was organized on Study of Advanced Microcontroller & Hands on Intel Galileo on 10th September
2016 in E-23 Laboratory by Electronics Engineering departmental under forum activity by Prof. Abhijit Bhagat, Assistant
Professor department of Electronics Engineering. The students were informed about advanced microcontroller, their uses
and applications. Information were given about Intel Galileo board and practical session was also provided. Students tried
basic applications on Intel Galileo board. Total 22 students from III sem Electronics Engg and Electronics &
Telecommunication Engg were registered for this workshop. The workshop was arranged by Forum Incharge Prof S. N.
Joshi under guidance of Dr. S. S. Dorle.
EVENT: The Cultural Event under Zenith 2k16 has been organized by Electronics
Engineering Department The Cultural Event under Zenith 2k16 on 6
th September was a successful and colorful event .On the eve of ganesh utsav the
department of electronics organized a colorful event comprising of comitions such as singing dancing and tradition walk .
The day started with pooja devoted to lord Ganesha , all the forum members along with teachers and staff were present as the
department H.O.D Dr. S. S. Dorle performent the morning aarti. The cultural events followed later at 3:30. The function started with
installation of the 2k16 IEEE and ZENITH FORUM , followed by the first round of traditional theamed walk . After this singing and
dancing comitions took place. These were judged by IT H.O.D and ETRX H.O.D , and the results were announced, wining the first in
singing was a second year student Shubham Lad and dancing single trophy was given to Ajinkya Nagmote whereas group that won
was also a talented group of second year girls .the fun continued with the red carpet round of traditional walk and the titles for Mr.
ETRX Ms. ETRX Best personality Miss Personality and Best Dress were given away . the whole event ended with evening aarti of
Lord Ganesha , after which refreshments were arranged for all the students and staff members of the department . apart from this the
students worked hard in the decoration was wall hanging and rangoli for the day . the whole event was successful and full of fun ,
enjoyment and lots of talent .

Competition” on 27th August 2016 under forum and cultural activities 2K16
Department of Electronics Engineering organized a technical event “Blind Race Competition” on 27
th August 2016 under forum and
cultural activities 2K16 for new session 2016-2017. In a group of two members 21 teams participated in the event. One member was
blindfolded and was told to drive the remote control car whereas the other member was instructing his/her team mate to follow the
obstacle course. The team that took minimum time won the competition . The Electronics Engineering Departmental students Forum
members worked hard to organize the event under the supervision of Prof. S. N. Joshi & Prof. P. J. Mankar. After the event Dr. S. S.
Dorle, HOD, Electronics Engineering Department appreciated Forum members and best wishes were given to the winners and
participants.

students‟ members and 2 teachers visited “Samata Anathalay”. Firstly students had a formal introduction with them then asked them to
show their skills and they responded very well. After that students celebrated “janmashtami” at samata anathalaya and then played a
small game of „handi fod‟ which was great treat to them .There were 19 students at Samata Anathalay. From Electronics department
some books and grocery were donated to students of Samata Anathalay. At last refreshment was given to students of anathalay. Forum
members of Electronics Engineering Department and students worked hard for organizing the event under the supervision of Prof. S.
N. Joshi & Prof. P. J. Mankar. After the event Dr. S. S. Dorle, HOD, Electronics Engineering Department appreciated Forum members
and participated students
EVENT: 2016 Box Cricket match was conducted under forum "ZENITH"
Box Cricket match was conducted under forum "ZENITH" for all semester student at GHRCE, inroom no.E-07 on 3&5th August 2016 . Girls Box cricket match was held. This activity is help to
encourage the students for indoor game and to be active and sporty. both the teams played well. The
event was organised under the guidance of Prof. Sonali Joshi & Prof. Pranav mankar of Electronics Engineering Department

On 17th Sept 2016 INDOOR SPORTS event was conducted under forum "ZENITH 2K16" for
students of all semester of Electronics Engg. Dept. at GHRCE, in sports room. In indoor sports
pool, chess ,table-tennis & carrom etc games were organized for girls & boys. It was an activity
to encourage the students for indoor games and to be active and sporty. The activity was
coordinated by forum incharge Prof S. N. Joshi & Prof. P. J. Mankar under guidance of Dr. S. S.
Dorle & Dr. D. V. Padole.

Graduate Students of B.E. Fifth semester /Section A electronics had visited to BAJAJ STEEL plant, at Hingna MIDC, Nagpur on date

August 2016. The main aim is to provide students a glimpse of the actual work situation and to understand the industry
environment, to study the production of Steel product manufactured, to get a first hand information about the PLC SCADA Based
automotive operative system , machines and procedure adopted by Steel industries in practice and to gain some work experience. Er.
Shri Gaurav Hanspal, Manager has provided necessary information to student about the procedure of Steel Automation process and
the visit has successfully done. Visit is coordinated by Prof.S.V.Bhalerao , Department of Electronics Engineering, GHRCE, Nagpur.
