Term 3, Week 8 Principal’s Message
Crunch and Sip September is ‘Fruit and Veg’ month and we support this great initiative with plenty of activities each week, such as researching fruits and vegetables and guessing competitions! Our ‘fruit & veg’ student ambassadors help out with organising activities and proudly wear their badges every
day. One way we support the health of students at Goulburn Public School, not only in September, but all year round is through ‘Crunch & Sip’. Crunch & Sip is a primary
school program where children crunch on fruit and/or vegetables and sip water at a set time during class every day. This program sets out to support children to establish healthy eating habits while at school. The guidelines for ‘Crunch & Sip’ are simple – all fresh, raw fruit and vegetables. For more information, please see our Crunch & Sip policy on our website. Many thanks to our teachers who bring in extra fruit and vegetables each day, so that no child has to miss out!

Arriving to school before 8:30am Please be aware that students are not to arrive at school before 8:30am. Our school cannot provide adequate supervision before this time. From 8:30am onwards, our Breakfast Club is open and our staff come ‘on duty’ at 8:40am allowing students to play. Premier’s Spelling Bee and Class Speeches Well done to our representatives at the recent spelling bee competition. Emmeline, Brock, Claudia and Rashad put in an outstanding effort at this event, some of the words they had were very tricky. Our class speeches across the whole school have been amazing. Thank you to parents and carers who have been helping write these speeches and provided a ‘listening ear’ while they are being practised at home. Students are displaying the qualities of ‘learner’ to a high level. Life Education Van It has been great having Harold back at Goulburn Public School. Harold has been very busy around the school. I hope you saw what he got up to on Facebook! Regards Sharyn Cox Relieving Principal
