Antonio García de León GriegoSon Jarocho and the Music of Mexico and the CaribbeanAntonio García de León Griego is a linguist, musician and historian on the faculty at UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico) who has dedicated himself especially to the documentation and revitalization of son jarocho and other genres of Mexican music. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including Fandango El ritual del mundo jarocho a través de los siglos, and Tierra adentro, mar en fuera. El puerto de Veracruz y su litoral a Sotavento, 1519-1821.
