Ce jour-l, il faisait beau,
on entendait mme quelques oiseaux.

dans les bus ou aux terrasses des restaurants.

Quand ils ne se comprenaient pas,
ils staient dbrouillsen faisant des gestes, en dessinant,

Plusieurs fois, ils avaient mme t invits dormir chez quelquun,

Le matin, il y avait des enfants, des chats,

et queux, ils feraient la mme chose
quand ils auraient une maison avec un canap.

Elle avait entendu quelquun qui disaitson nom.Son nom elle.Elle stait retourne et avait vu un typequelle ne connaissait pas.

Du sud au nord, jusqu Milan, a faisait loin.Il avait regard sur la carte.Huit-cent-quatre-vingt-huit kilomtres.Ils en avaient bien pour dix heures de train,
disons douze heures parce que ctait lItalie.Allez, douze heures de train, ce nestpas catastrophique.Ils pourraient peut-tre dormir un peuen sappuyant lun contre lautre.Cest ce quils avaient fait laller il y aun moisquand le train tait complet.Ils staient assis sur leur sac dans le couloir.Ils avaient souri aux militaires en uniformeet aux dames qui portaient des foulards surla tteet qui leur avaient propos du salami.Et puis, ils staient endormisau milieu du bruit et des odeurs.Ce ntait que le dbut pour les dames auxfoulards et pour les militaires,mais Milan pour elle,ctait dj loin de Paris,

Comme ctait la fin de lt,ils sattendaient ce quil y ait du mondedans le train.Tous ces jeunes gens devaient bien
rentrer chez eux, quand mme.Sur le quai il y avait maintenant desAllemands, des Anglais, des Hollandais,des Franais comme elle, des Grecs quipartaient visiter lItalie,des Espagnols, des Belges, et mme
quelques Italiens,des Autrichiens et des Sudois peut-tre,mais pas dAmricains.Il tait content dtre le seul, en fait.Et puis, le train est arriv.
Et l, vraiment, ils se sont demandsi ils rvaient.En se dirigeant vers les portes avec leur sac,eux et tous les autres voyageurs se disaienten mme tempsla mme chose, mais dans beaucoup de
langues diffrentes.Mais cest pas possible, cest fou !
Tas vu a ? Cest incroyable !

Le train tait dj tellement plein, complet,bourr craquerquils ont d se pousser, se tirer,pour arriver finalement y monter

bloqus, compresss,ils se sont regards par dessus dautres sacs dos.Il y avait des gens partout, debout, serrscomme des sardines,
dans chaque centimtre carr de chaquecouloir de ce train.Ils avaient envie de rire parce que ctaitdrle et en mme tempsvraiment pas marrant de penser
