Free Sunday Walking Tours

Walks take place every first and third

Sunday of the month, (except April and

July = 2nd and 4th Sundays), from 10:30

a.m. to 12 noon.

Meet at the benches across the road from

the south side of Grenadier Restaurant in

the middle of High Park.

Walks may go on wooded trails, so please

wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Walks are led by volunteer scientists,

historians, and local naturalists who will

help you to understand and explore High

Park’s many significant features.

Walking Tours are volunteer-led with the

support of Toronto Parks, Forestry and

Recreation.

High Park Nature Centre

The Nature Centre offers year-round

outdoor education programs that

provide the opportunity to gain an

appreciation of the park's unique

ecosystems and to participate in the

restoration of the park’s natural areas.

Volunteer Stewardship

Join the Volunteer Stewards and the

Toronto Urban Forestry staff in

restoring wildlife habitat and increasing

biodiversity. Help with watering,

planting, seed collecting and controlling

invasive species. Learn about the

environment through presentations

and field trips. Sessions are usually

held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of

each month except December.

Visit Colborne Lodge

Visit the house where John and

Jemima Howard lived – the founders of

High Park. This historic museum is run

by the City and features many original

furnishings and artifacts.

every first and third Sunday of the
