The Alternative
Art Exhibition
Fountain is an exhibition of avant garde artwork in New York during Armory week and Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach. Fountain lives outside the traditional art fair model and provides galleries and art dealers the opportunity to showcase fresh works in spacious venues. Fountain was founded in 2006 as an attempt to leverage support for smaller indepen-dent galleries to gain access to larger collectors and critics. Since its inception Fountain has held 3 exhibitions in New York, One in Chicago and is now preparing for its Fourth exhibition in Miami.
This year, Fountain takes place December 3 - 6 , during the weekend of Art Basel Miami Beach & other major art fairs, at Studio 25 adjacent to Aqua and a few short blocks to Scope, Pulse, Art Asia, Photo Miami, The Rubel Collection, Zones, Bridge and Red Dot Wynwood.
Fountain is a guerrilla-style art event, dubbed by many as the “Anti Art Fair” for its brash, off-the-wall offerings of non-traditional art exhibitions in the art fair environment.
