Many people like to give baskets as gifts. A gift basket is very convenient because the givers can choose the contents of the basket and pattern the contents to the likes of the recipient. Through gift baskets, the givers can send the exact kind of message they want to convey.

For many special occasions, gift baskets make great presents. They can be given to show appreciation or to greet the recipients on a special day. The baskets can be customised to suit any occasion, whether it is Christmas or Chinese New Year or social occasions like marriages, birthdays and anniversaries. They can also be customised to suit the receiver's likes and tastes.

Most gift baskets have a theme that allows the givers to use their imagination and come up with some great additions to the gift. The basket can be very useful to the recipient. For example, a gift basket given at someones graduation should be filled with essentials like bed sheets, a coffee mug, pens, an alarm clock and a toothbrush.

Gift baskets can be of different shapes, sizes and forms. The more popular kinds include chocolate, candy, snack crackers, assorted nuts, assorted cookies, fruits and an assortment of all these.
