Dr. S Raja is Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-NAL. He has achived 2 International and 11 nationla awards. Moreover, He has 170 Papers in International Journals/Conference Proceedings, 3 Books Chapter, 1 book and 65 technical reports. He enlightened students, guests and faculty members with current trends in industries and importance of structure analysis in every project. He has Long & Rich experience of 25+ years in Design Centre, OEM & Academia and have established Centre of Excellence in Automotive Electronics. Moreover, have worked in Engineering Research Centre at Tata motors, Automotive Infotronics (JV of Continental & Leyland), VIT university & Bharat Earth movers Ltd. He has given 30+ guest lecturers at ARAI, SAE, SIAM, Infosys & other industry and institutes. His area of Focus is Powertrain, Telematics, Safety, Body, Chassis, Comfort/Convenience and E/E architecture covering entire development value chain.

Principal Scientist at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore, India.
S.T. Aruna is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bangalore, India. After finishing her Masters in Chemistry from

Mysore University with a first rank, she joined for PhD in Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in the year 1994. She also qualified the CSIR-UGC NET exam in the same year. She obtained her PhD in the year 1998 and for her PhD she worked on the nanomaterials synthesis and characterization under the guidance of Prof. K.C. Patil. The nanomaterials included catalytic, magnetic and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) materials. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Bar-Ilan university, Israel in the area of dye-sensitized solar cells from 1998-1999. She also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at IISc before joining CSIR-NAL in the year 2001. She has authored more than 85 research papers in international peer reviewed journals, 6 review articles, 6 patents, co-authored a book and written 7 book chapters and 4 encyclopedia chapters. Her expertise is in the area of synthesis of nanosize and micron size ceramic particles, ceramic processing, thermal spray coatings, sol-gel coatings and electrodeposition. She discussed about her ongoing research during the event.

Dr. M.V. Reddy is working with National University, Singapore. He gave presentation on topic was Advance functional materials for Lithium ion batteries. His lecture covered following topics.
Synthesis of nanostructured materials by one pot molten salt synthesis, carbo/graphenothermal reduction and nitridation methods of various simple binary and ternary oxides, metal organic/inorganic frame work materials, Triclinic, LiVPO4F and spinel, Li(MMn11/6)O4 (M=Mn1/6, Co1/6, (Co1/12Cr1/12)) compounds

Refinement X-ray diffraction, Neutron diffraction, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, density and BET surface area methods, and cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic cycling and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques.
