Focus:We belong to the family of the Church and we begin our
faith journey at Baptism.• Sacraments of Initiation- Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.• What begins at Baptism is fulfilled when we receive the
Eucharist in First Holy Communion and will be strengthened and deepened when we receive the Sacrament of
Confirmation later on.

Lesson 3: The Passover, Lord’s Supper and Eucharist
Focus:Children will be looking more closely at the core learning which refers to Passover, Lord’s Supper
and Eucharist.All elements of Passover and Eucharist take place
in the context of family and a believing community/Church.

Focus:Holy Communion: uniting us with God and
one another in the community of the Church.

• In class each lesson will end with a Prayertime, at which a candle is usually lit.
• If you have your child’s Baptismal Candle, you could use it for the Home Session Prayertime.
