FINAL LIST OF EXCHANGE PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO MMM STUDENTS FOR A SEMESTER ABROAD IN FALL 2021 OR SPRING 2022 APPLICATION DEADLINE OCTOBER 31ST, 2020
This list contains all exchanges available to MMM students for the application round 2020. If you’ve selected universities from the preliminary list, make sure to double-check whether your choices are included here, and please also consider any comments or information regarding the universities of your choice since there may be changes in the “comments” section (e.g. available periods). Please note that all the information given in this list is based on past experience and past communication and may be subject to change. Especially in the light of the corona crisis, processes, deadlines and offers may become less predictable than in previous years, so please do keep in mind that you will need to be flexible . Make sure to do your research on the universities you’re interested in and check their websites for information on topics such as course choice and potential requirements regarding minimum or maximum workload, on the academic calendar and exam periods, and potentially on administrative fees (like the Mannheim “Semesterbeitrag”). In addition, you should read carefully the information on a semester abroad provided by both the central international office and the business school. Please also note the following:
Most of our partner universities in Non-English speaking countries offer business courses in English. The table below indicates the (main) language(s) of instruction. You need to submit proof of language skills for any language(s) you want to study in. Please check the partner university database to find out which proof of language skills you will need for which exchange program. Please not that if two languages are given below, “and/or” means that you do not necessarily need both (but it will give you more choice) while “and” means that you need proof for both languages for your application to be considered.
Please note: we cannot guarantee that you will be able to attend classes that will perfectly match your Mannheim curriculum, as the decision on the course offer for exchange students lies with the respective partner universities. Your study abroad semester can therefore hardly be planned in full detail beforehand and might, under certain circumstances, affect the duration of your degree as a whole.
In some cases, you may be enrolled in specific programs; at other institutions, there will be a choice of courses from different programs or from a list of courses available to exchange students. If nothing is specified in the comments column, you can assume that this will be the case; check the schools website and/or the Mannheim students experience reports (see partner university database) for further details.
Please note that term dates may differ from the Mannheim academic calendar, and that some universities use a trimester system.
Especially when applying for an MBA exchange you should have some amount of practical experience (internships etc.). If there is a minimum requirement by the partner school it will be specified in the “comments” column. In most cases, internships and student jobs can be considered (partially if part time). If in doubt, make sure to check with Cathrin Rieger.
Before you apply, read the application instructions very carefully and make sure your application is in line with the requirements.
