Metrics (planned) – requested by MCTI project
12
• Availability rate of services and computing resources• 83% of availability / year (propose)
• Number of new institutions (islands)• Number of testbed users
Building FIBRE’s roadmap
13
• Technical Committe’s Short-term projects (Oct/2015 to Jan/2016)
• Requirements from FUTEBOL project

• The use of a large-scale testbed give students first-hand experience to a real-world situation, instead of using software tools to simulate networks in the laboratory.
• With the use of Future Internet testbeds in computer-network classes, we believe the next generation of researchers will be more capable of dealing with architectural experiments and of continuously evolving the current Internet architecture
• But this is not a new idea…
FIBRE in the classroom (educational usage)
• To organize a face-to-face workshop• To discuss the results of TC projects (FIBRE’s technical roadmap)• To train new island Operators• Steering committee meeting – to deliberate on pending issues• To plan the support to FUTEBOL• To plan support to BAMBU• Date and location still to be defined (possibly 19 January 2016)
