examination
The Female Reproductive Structure and their Functions
• Ovaries• Uterus• Cervix• Fallopian Tubes• Mammary Glands• Vagina
Ovaries• Two small almond
shaped glands
• Located on either side of the uterus
• The ovaries produce eggs and hormones

Fallopian Tubes• Narrow tubes • carry egg from the ovary
to the womb.• Where conception of egg

Cilia
Mammary Gland• Made up of fat, • connective tissue and

Understanding and Awareness of T.S.S.
• What is T.S.S?
• What are the symptoms?
• How is it treated?
• Can it be prevented
What is TSS?
• Staphylococcus aureus• Systematic illness• Produce toxins• Use of tampons• contraceptive methods
What are the symptoms?
• High fever • Sunburn-like rash on the
entire body • Severe muscle aches • Bright red coloring • organ failure • 2 to 3 days
How is it treated ?
• medical emergency
• examination
• sample from culture
• stay in the hospital
• very rare illness
Can it be Prevented ?
• use sanitary napkins• select the tampons
-lowest absorbency • change frequently
Breast Self Examination• Why is breast self
examination important?• When should you

Why is Breast Self-Examination Important?
• Breast cancer most common form of cancer among women
