SKYDIVER BREAKS SOUND BARRIER
O Felix Baumgartner, 43, rode a helium balloon to the top of the stratosphere, then jumped to become the first person to shatter the sound barrier in free fall jump.
O He made a death-defying leap leaving his capsule.
O During his dramatic dive, he reached the speed of Match point 1,24.
O His only companion was a spacesuit specially designed for his incredible and dangerous experience.

pressurized capsule to the earth’s ceiling — 128,100 feet, or 24.2 miles above sea level.
