After Mr. B’s closed, Los Alamitos washurting for such a community hangout.Groups tried other venues, but nothing feltright — too big or too small, too pricey or toofancy, or not set up for groups.
But now that Griffins Grill has opened itsdoors, the community of “greater LosAlamitos” is opening its arms to a rebornhangout that’s even better than what wasthere before.
The menu offers good food well made:salads and sandwiches and pizzas, nachosand taco and burritos,
And burgers: twelve different kinds ofburgers, from the enormous Coach BarnesBurger to the California Burger to the SunnySide Burger.
For those who can’t eat wheat, the burgerscan be ordered bunless — and they’re lookingfor a way to offer pizza with a gluten-freecrust.
Griffins Grill is located at 11272 Los AlamitosBlvd., towards the northern end of the Vonsshopping center near Farquhar Ave.
Currently, the Grill opens at 11 a.m.weekdays and 10 a.m. weekends.

Long Beach restaurants are gearing up forDine Out Long Beach, Restaurant Week 2.0taking place Feb. 28 through March 5, 2016.
“We’re very excited to be part of Dine OutLong Beach,” said Ali Kobessi, owner ofOpen Sesame in Belmont Shore. “RestaurantWeek 2.0 is a great opportunity for us toshowcase our lunch and dinner offerings tonew and returning guests””
Restaurants throughout the city will offertwo-option menus for lunch starting at $10and three-option menus for dinner starting at$20.
Some restaurants will also offer a sharedmenu where two guests can split an
appetizer and dessert, but enjoy their ownentrée. As for settings and cuisines,California’s sixth largest city has anabundance of offerings.
“Long Beach’s dining scene has reallyexploded in recent years,” said ElizabethBorsting, founder of Dine Out Long Beachand a local public relations consultant.
