Kids Hope is a mentoring program partnering with Ballarat Specialist School where a member of our congregation goes into the school and mentors the same student one hour per week. This hour gives a unique opportunity to build a special relationship between both the child and mentor creating immense enjoyment and satisfaction. The whole program is surrounded by prayers from their individual prayer partners and the church, so God is there working within Kids Hope the whole time Kids Hope is up and running from Monday 1
st February 2016, students came
back to the Ballarat Specialist School last Thursday 28th January. We are giving
the students and teachers a few days to settle back into a routine then I am sure they are eager to see their mentors this week. Please pray for Kids Hope: the mentors, students and their families as they start back this year. We have 10 mentors in the program and always looking for more mentors for students who need a special friend in their lives, if anyone is interested to be involved please contact Janet Jones 0408944424.

Do you like working with young children? If you have some time available every second Tuesday morning (9.15-11.45am) and enjoy working with young children we would love you to be part of the one2one MOPPETS carers team. The MOPPETS program provides care and activities for children (0-6yrs) during the MOPS meetings. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) provides time out, encouragement and support to mums and their families.
MOPS would not happen without the support of the MOPPETS carers. For MOPPETS to run smoothly in 2016 we need some new carers and we would love you to consider helping! Even if you are only available to help out at certain times of the year or month you could be a really valuable helper in our program. Volunteers will require a Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one. To express your interest, please contact Church Office 5334 1882
