1. All works to be in accordance with Specification for HighwayWorks and to the satisfaction of Oxfordshire County Council.

2. Where required, existing road markings shall be removedmechanically (NOT using Compressed Air) eg: Hydro Blasting orsimilar approved.

3. Existing road markings within Section 278 Works to be replenishedas agreed with Oxfordshire County Council.

4. All signs shall have at least a minimum of 450mm between theedge of the sign and the kerb face.

5. All cycleway footway signs to be erected a minimum of 2.4m fromthe finished land to the bottom of the sign.

6. Sign post foundations to be ST4 concrete.

Notes

a. All works to be carried out in accordance with the approveddrawings, the Specification For Highway Works and to thestatisfaction of the approving highway authority inspectors.

b. Road markings shall be laid out in accordance with the "Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 " andthe " Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 5 - 2003 "

c. All redundant road markings shall be removed byHydroblasting.

d. All road signs shall be mounted a minimum clearance of450mm from the carriageway channel or kerbline.

e. Road sign locations shown are indicative and the finalposition shall be confirmed with the highway inspector.

f. Road marking Specification - Type 1 (100m/m2/lux)

g. Day visibility - Luminance factor of all white thermoplasticroad markings shall be a minimum of 80 complying with Table5 :Class IF6:BSEN1871.

h. The lluminance factor of all yellow thermoplastic roadmarkings shall be a minimum of 50 complying with Table 5:Class IF6:BSEN1871.

i. Night visibility - Immediately after application and throughoutthe period of 24months thereafter, reftroflectivity of all whitethermoplastic road markings shall not be less than100mcd/m2/lux, when measured in accordance with Table 2 :Class R2 of BSEN1871.

j. Type 1 - 100mcd/m2/lux 2 year perfaormance specification isto be used for all general lining. Existing road markings to beremoved during the resurfacing of the carriageway are not tobe replaced. Only carriageway markings specified on thisdrawing are to be installed.
