Since its inception in 1982, the Middle Tennessee Chapter of ONS (MTCONS)
has promoted excellent cancer nursing education and quality cancer nursing care
within the greater Nashville area. With over one hundred twenty members, the
Chapter unites to form a solid network for education and peer support for local
oncology nurses. MTCONS, through its funding efforts, is able to provide monthly
educational programs, nursing scholarships, and supplemental meetings. Individuals
who support chapter projects such as this educational program promote the chapter’s
vision of fostering the professional development of oncology nurses. MTCONS will
continue to set a precedent in the Nashville area and expand its horizons to impact
cancer nursing at the state and national level.
