Theabilitytothinkaboutanddiscussideas,aswellastheskillsonedevelopsintheprocess—criti-calthinking,activelistening,respectforotherviewpoints,andpersonalexpression—arevaluablecapabilitiesforouryouth.Theybecomebetterwriters,communicatorsandproblemsolvers,anddobetterinmiddleandhighschool,aswellascollegeandadulthood.

AttendanceandPick-UpfromClassesParentsorguardiansareresponsiblefortheirchild(ren)gettingtoafterschoolclassesontime.Studentswillmeetinthemulti-purposeroomwiththeinstructorandthengototheclassroom.Ifyourchildisnotreadytogettohisorherafterschoolclassunattended,pleasedonotsignupatthistime.Neitherclassroomteachersnorafterschoolinstructorsareresponsibleforthecareofyourchildifheorshedoesnotcometoclass.Thereisalsonosupervisionforyourchildafterdismissalofclasses.Itistheparents’orguardians’responsibilitytohavetheirchildpickeduppromptlyaftertheendofclass.Onlystudentsenrolledinclassesareallowedtoattend.

DisciplineOurprogramisdesignedtoofferqualityenrichmentclassestochildrenafterschool,andtheteach-ershaveexperiencewithchildrenandknowhowtohandledisruptions.However,theteacherhastherighttodropthestudentfromtheclassifaproblempersists.Theparentsorguardiansofachildwhohasdisciplinaryproblemswillbenotifiedinanattempttoenlisttheirhelpincorrectingtheproblem.Asecondoffensewillresultinthechildbeingpermanentlydismissedfromtheclass.Anybehaviordeemedbytheteachertobedangerouswillresultintheimmediatedismissalofthestu-dent.Theparentwillbenotifiedofanyactiontaken.Inacaseofdisciplinarydismissal,norefundwillbegiven.
