Advantages
•High speed•High pressure•No overhung bearing loads•Relatively quiet operation•Design accommodates wide variety of materials
Disadvantages
•Four bushings in liquid area•No solids allowed•Fixed End Clearances
Applications•Various fuel oils and lube oils•Chemical additive and polymer metering•Chemical mixing and blending (double pump)•Industrial and mobile hydraulic applications (log splitters, lifts, etc.)•Acids and caustic (stainless steel or composite construction)•Low volume transfer or application
pressure relief valve
• A pressure relief valve is a safety device designed to protect a pressurized vessel or system during an overpressure event.
• An overpressure event refers to any condition which wouldcause pressure in a vessel or system to increase beyond thespecified design pressure. • The pressure relief valve must open at a
predetermined set pressure, flow a rated capacity
at a specified overpressure, and close when the system pressure has returned to a safelevel.
