In 2015 we will fly from Newark to Brussels, Belgium.
We will stay in the Medieval town of Bruges (Brugge) for two nights.
Bruges is a completely intact Medieval town whose beauty is
amazing.

Bruges is known as the “Venice of the North” due to its extensive canal system.

The canals lead to a serene lake.
During Medieval Times, widows of the Crusades lived in areas like this, called
the Beguinage.
Reminders of the Crusades and Saints abound in Bruges.
This castle is actually a Bed and Breakfast in Bruges!
Handmade lace is a specialty of Bruges.
Chocolate is also a specialty of Belgium
Next Stop: Paris! We will stay in Paris for three nights.

Then it’s on to Strasbourg, on the German border. We will stay here for two nights.
There is much German influence here.

Riquewihr is also on the German border. It is on the list of “The Most Beautiful Villages of
France”

• There will be an interest meeting in late November or early December.
