a The boilers shall have a common balanced flue to match the boiler outputs.
b Details of all visual external elements, supports, joints etc. shall be submitted to the Architect for approval
prior to installation.
8 Boilers are not to be supplied with individual pumps
9 Frame to be boxed steel (powder coated) complete with lifting eyes
10 Boiler to be complete with all associated pipe work, fittings, dosing pot, control panel and safety valves.
(set to 3 bar).

3 The pumps shall operate as run & standby with automatic changeover
4 Design pump heads quoted include the specified equipment pressure drops and the pipework and
fittings shown on the drawings. The Contractor shall amend the pump head to include all variations
resulting from the use of equipment with excess drop or additional pipework and fittings resulting
from the production of the installation drawings.
5 The following pressure drops have been assumed as part of the pump sizing calculations:
Commissioning Station : 4kPa
Strainer : 4kPa
Non return valve : 4kPa
Motorised shut-off valve : 2kPa
2-port valve : 35kPa
3-port valve : 35kPa
Pipework sized up to : 220Pa/m
6 Pumps shall be selected to enable the impeller to be changed to a larger or a smaller diameter.
7 All pumps shall be fitted with suction guides
a Details of all visual external elements, supports, joints etc. shall be submitted to the Architect
for approval prior to installation.

1 Refer to Materials and Workmanship Specification
2 Manufacturer and model reference shall be as indicated above or approved equivalent
3 Ensure model reference given is as per equipment specification prior to ordering
4 All selected AHU's and their components shall have the capacity for an increase in 10% of design duties given.
5 All HRU's shall have side access.
6 Hydraulic pressure drops across the coils shall not exceed 25 kPa
7 AHU coil pipe work shall be connected to distribution pipe work with flexible connections
8 Tight shut off dampers shall be provided on outside intakes and extracts.
9 The intake damper on HRU 04 shall be removed and installed on the ductwork

11 Design external resistance quoted are indicative.
12 The Contractor shall amend the external resistance to include additional resistance resulting from the production of the installation drawings.

14 All filters are to be replaced at handover after the areas served have been cleaned.
15 Manufacturer is to provide pumps for heat recovery coils
The external resistance is taken from the connection to the air handling unit and does not include any of the components contained within the air handling unit.
All AHU's shall be supplied and installed with suitable controls and inverters for commissioning and variable speed operation.
