PURPOSE: This event will highlight the direct link between climate change, oceans health,and human well-being, and the need for collaborative action and sufficient fund-ing for strategic mitigation and adaptation to minimize climate change impactson coastal communities and ocean resources. This event will be a precursor tothe Oceans Day at Durban, which will take place on December 3, 2011, at theSouth Africa Climate Change Response Expo.
