Eden Park High School
Enrichment Programme Eden Park High School’s Enrichment Programme is de-
signed to provide students with the opportunity to devel-
op further knowledge and skills across a variety of sub-
jects in an extra-curricular setting. Students will be able to
explore a variety of Sports, different Art/Drama/Music
styles and real-life problem solving that they may not get
the chance to in their day to day lessons.
Each enrichment option will enable students to partici-
pate in activities that will be designed to meet the re-
quirements of the award or qualification they are work-
ing towards such as Arts Award, CREST Award, Sports
Leader Award & the EPHS Agricultural Award. These
awards are well recognised and students will be able to
use them when applying for collages, universities and
jobs.
Art Enrichment
Enrichment Overview
Art Enrichment will provide opportunities for students to develop their crea-
tive and artistic skills by experimenting with a wide range of different materi-
als and techniques. As part of the Arts Award our students will be expected
to; Base their project on a set theme; Research art practitioners; Attend an
arts event; Build a portfolio of art work; Run a workshop to deliver their
learnt skills to other students. The purpose of Art Enrichment is to encour-
age and instil independence in thinking, confidence to create and knowledge
to educate others.

During this enrichment activity students will work towards a variety
of Arts Awards including Discovery/Explorer/Bronze/Silver. This is a
well recognised award that students can use when applying for col-
lages, universities and jobs.
Drama Enrichment
Enrichment Overview
The Drama Enrichment programme for this academic year will focus
on students working towards getting their Arts Award, an accredited
qualification in the Arts. This will give students the opportunity to
create, take part in and discover more about Drama.

Qualifications Attainted
Students will achieve a universally recognised accredited Arts Award
qualification at Explore/Discover/Bronze or Silver levels.
Farm Enrichment (30 students
max)
Enrichment Overview
Farm gives students the opportunity to learn about the enrichment,
health and wellbeing of animals. Students have access to a range of
animals as well as an allotment.
Key Skills Developed
Teamwork and communication
Gardening
English— scientific style report writing
General husbandry skills and animal welfare
Problem solving.
Qualifications Attainted
Students will work towards a bronze, silver or gold EPHS Agricultural
Award.
Music Enrichment
Enrichment Overview
The Music enrichment programme will allow students to explore and
express themselves through a variety of different music styles. There
will also be opportunities for students to learn new instruments, de-
velop practical skills in instruments already played and experiment
with music technology software.

Basic Music Theory—understanding the key elements of music
Practical music skills—instruments or technology

During this enrichment activity students will work towards a variety of

Sports Enrichment
Enrichment Overview
The Sport Enrichment will provide students with the opportunity to
participate in a variety of different sports such as netball, football,
rugby and table tennis. Students will be able to develop their
knowledge of these sports through team games and skills exercises.

STEM Enrichment
Enrichment Overview
Students work independently or in groups to plan and run a project
addressing a real-world STEM (science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics) problem. These projects can range from making a web-
site to building robots.

Qualifications Attainted
When completed the STEM project you will receive a CREST
Award. This is a well recognised award that you can use when
applying for college, university and jobs.

may not be possible. You will be told on Wednesday 5th
September which activity you have been allocated.
You will have 10 minutes to complete this page at the
beginning of you extended day on Monday 3rd Septem-
ber.
If you do not complete the page in this time then you
will randomly be allocated your options.
