Introduction:

Thanksgiving among other things is a spiritual platform for securing fulfilment of prophecies.

1 Thess 5: 18 “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Heb 10:36 “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”

Thanksgiving is a prophetic act that opens you up to further possibilities in God. Luke 17:11-19

The Breakthrough Power of Thanksgiving:

Breakthrough is the supernatural act of God. It is the breaking of limitation and exploring new realms

Supernatural Manifestationo Thanksgiving is a proven trigger for the supernatural. John 6:11 “And Jesus took the

loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.” (Read also John 11:41-44 for story of Lazarus)

o Thanksgiving keeps the oil of the Holy Ghost ever fresh. Psalm 92:1, 10 “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High... But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.”

o The fresh anointing destroys every yoke of the enemy. Psalm 92:11 “Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.” Isaiah 10:27 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

Supernatural Fruitfulnesso By thanksgiving, we bear fruit even in old age. Psalm 92:14 “They shall still bring forth

fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;” Supernatural Establishment

o Thanksgiving plants us in the house of God where we flourish. Psalm 92:12-13 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

Accessing the Breakthrough Power of Praise

Nothing empowers our thanksgiving like revelation. John 6:6 “And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do”

Revelation opens you to the intended result and hence fuels your praise. Eg:

1. Jesus had revelation and as a result of his thanksgiving multiplied the fishes and bread. John 6: 11-14

2. Jesus’ revelation of his identity quickened his resolve to praise God even in the death of Lazarus and that resulted in his resurrection. John 11:25; John 5:21
